This is my first child and I will be giving birth 500 miles away from my or my husbands family. Both of our parents are divorced and not on good terms. I don't want this to be a stressful time and I feel like if my Dad or In-Laws are there it will only stress me out, and make me feel less loved. Not only is this about their grandchild, but it's also about me. I've never done this before, I'm scared, and I don't want people bumbarding me. I also want my alone time with my baby and my husband. I have only invited my mother and sister, and of course my husband will be there. I'm just not sure how to let everyone else know that I would rather them wait a few weeks to come and see the baby.

Why is it that when women/girls are having babies, and they are not married, they more than often don't want to give the baby the father's name? The reasons are always because of not being married (but most are in a relationship with that man), or because he cheated on her, or because it's easier for mom and baby to have the same last name. Why does the father get left out? It's his baby too, so why doesn't he get to have the same last name? Being a boyfriend/husband and a father are 2 different things. Maybe the relationship didnt work out, but doesn't mean that he isn't going to be a good father. Especially with teen girls, they just seem to assume that the father isn't going to be in the picture when they don't know. And everyone makes a point to say the baby belongs to just the mother. They seem to forget that the baby has a dad. I know there are the guys out there that don't want the baby and never do anything to help, or take part in their lives, but many do.

I'm looking for work, and I am trying. I working with a program that helps me to get leads on jobs, but so far the job leads they have had for me have not been what I need.
I'm a single parent of 2 young kids, yes I know I need work. But I just got to have a job where I can be home with my kids.
My job coach is mad at me cause I have turned down job leads, I had to tho cause they did not fit in with my schedule with my kids too.
I'm at risk of being kicked of this program. I told my job coach my kids come first, but she doesn't think I am right thinking this way.
what would you do?
To me my kids will come first!!

i have had 2 abortions due to medical reasons. my pelvis was shattered when i was 16 in a car accident that i was passenger in. i was told i couldnt have childen. well turns out i can get pregnant i just cant bare the child. it would be a life or death situation for the baby as well as myself. i think i am the perfect example of why abortion should be pro choice. nobody can make that decision besides me. Right?

I have been feeling pregnant for some time now but didn't pay any attention to it at all because I have been getting what I thought to be my period. I have read that you can still have your period when pregnant. It wasn't till about 2 weeks ago that I started wondering if I was pregnant I constantly want to sleep and I have been getting nauseous sometimes after I eat. I have been getting slight back pain and my pants don't seem to fit the same around my waist, a little bit tighter. The thing that has really been getting to me is the tired factor.

He is 18 almost 19, i am 17 and will be 18 by christmas. Our baby is due in 5 weeks, right before christmas. our baby was definately unplanned. i was on birth control, but i had some anitbiotics for my wisdom teeth surgery and now we're pregnant. he was very understanding and supportive. my family adores him. his family likes me. everyone is excited about the baby. especially my boyfriend. im a little scared still. anyways i plan on getting him another engagement ring. his fingers have gotten bigger since he has been working and he cant even put it on anymore. mine still fit perfectly even at 35 weeks preg. anyways i want to get him something special for christmas. something for him from me. not something to do with our daughter. i want him to know i didnt forget him in all the comotion, our babys birth, my birthday, xmas.

what would you find special? i want it to say thanks for loving me and taking care of me and i love you and look forward to our future together.

i'm 16 and babysit about 4 times a week for 2-3 different families. and i have a lot of experience with kids and handling many at one time. i want kids of my own one day when i'm married with a job and a house, but as I'm rocking the baby to sleep, or wrestling with the older boys on the floor, or helping them make their own peanut butter and jelly sandwhichs, or dancing to Jump 5 or the Wiggles right before bed time to wear them out, I can't help but think, I go home at the end of the day. Parents don't. They have to deal with everything. their job is 25/8/366. but what's it actually like to look at the baby your holding and know it's yours, you created it. i can't imagine that feeling. i want a family of my own one day, and i hope my future husband wants 5 kids as I do, but i still can't grasp the feeling of having your own kids. the love that parents and child have for each other, is it really as weird, and wonderful, and complicated as i'm making it out to be?

long story short. i'm 20 been married for 2 years with my husband whom is 24. he his active duty and we are living away from our families because of his job. i've been having this 'baby fever' for a long time now. maybe it's because we live on base, and everybody has at least 3 kids, and we're probably we're the only couple childless. every time we go to wal mart or targer, i'm always comparing the prices for cribs or diapers etc. i always think how our empy guest room would look like as a nursery and thinking of baby names and everytime i'm late on my period i'm so happy. but nothing ever happens. i know we're both young, but i feel like if i dont have a baby in a few years im gonna go crazy. the only problem is that my husband only concern is that babies are too expensive. yeah. nothing new. they're expensive for everybody. i know he's not ready yet. but how do i convince him that having his child would be the best thing that has ever happened to us withouth thinking about money?

I have thought about this a long time and asked my friends about it and I wanted to get some other ideas from you good people.
There are people starving in certain countries for decades now and they keep having babies that are also starving.
I can't understand why they would bring a child into a situation like that.
Some people say because they don't know any better and don't know how to prevent pregnancy, but I would think they would figure it out eventually.
It is like they are giving their children a death sentence and the poor kids don't even have a chance.
So why do they keep doing it?

Well, sorry if this question seems a bit explicit but I need some help. Not too long ago, I was with my partner. Basically I masterbated, whiped my hand off with a sock, then used my fingers for her. She has not had her period yet, but has about four days left. Are the odds of her pregnacy high? Please can I have some medical advice here.
