Okay, I know a lot of moms stay home with their kids while their husbands work. I'm not trying to start a debate on that subject though. I'm just wondering if you think that all mothers should have something to fall back on if something should happen later on down the road. I think it is. My husband was born with a defect in his back; it can go out anytime. Now, unless his back goes out in the next year (knock on wood, keeping my fingers crossed, praying very hard it doesn't), we will be okay when that does happen. What do you think? Should we try to have experience in one field or another in case something happens later in life? What about some type of degree?

i m/ced about 6 months ago.. i was so excited about my pregnancy..(i never felt it could happen and then boom there i was pregnant) (it was on the first time too)! and just as fast as it came...it went away... everyone around me has had there babies and getting pregnant and it kills me.... ive gained probably 10 pounds and what hurts the most is we never told my husbands family and his dad just asked me if i was pregnant cuz i was getting bigger and bigger.. :(... man it hurts... i know i know... it wasnt meant to be... it will happen... thats what i hear... it doesnt help me feel better... and here i am waiting it out....again waiting for my period not to come... 3 days b4 hopefully it doesnt come so i can take this stupid test.. im afraid to start dieting becuz i dont know im pregnant... how do i cope?what did u find helped the best to get pregnant... my last period was feb 24 and i had intercourse the 3rd the 7th and the 10th is it good to spread em out that far?... is it better if

I went to the doctor today and they said that it could be kidney problems because i went there with cramps and vomiting. They then tested my urine for a pregnancy it came back negitive. But on my ultresound form it says ectopic pregnancy. Could i be pregnant, Ive had 2 periods since ive last had sex.

This is in response to a recent article on www.Msn.com. The article says that scientists have the ability to design babies, in a way, thus giving the parents the child they want. But should that technology be used, or be discarded and forgotten about? I can see this as being both good and bad, depending on how we use it.

Say, for instance, a couple has dwarfism. They want a child who also has dwarfism, or a child who does not carry the gene. They go to a doctor and ask them if they can design the baby to their specifications. Should they be allowed to do this?

My last period was on January 23 but something strange is happening to me because even when I am not sexually aroused I am wet most of the time and I am getting worried! I don't want to take a pregnancy test I am afraid to know the truth because I am not married and I still live with my family. Do you think I might be pregnant or this is a normal situation?

Ok you guys. I've been told to let my daughter keep her pacifier while she is teething. But, she's a total addict. She absolutely NEEDS it to fall asleep. I have to go back into her room about a gazillion times to put it back in her mouth when she's going down for a nap. I really want to take it away from her, but as soon as it's out of her mouth, in goes the thumb (or fingers). Her doctor says not to worry about it, but it's driving me crazy. Now, she even needs it while she's awake sometimes...which was never the case until now. What would you do if you were in my position?

I am two weeks late and I took a pregnancty test bu it was negative. I haev soem of the symptoms such as nasuea, sore breasts, and of course the missed period. I have gained a bit of weight recently and have been on some medication (acetazolamide) also i was diagonsed with clamidia a few years ago and although I have taken the medicine and cleared it up, i heard that it can cause tubal pregnancies. So I was wondering if anyoen knew why I could have missed my period or if there was soemthing that could effect the home test such as yeast infections, urinary tract infections or any medications?

First, I am a woman. Second, I don't understand why a woman would want to hide her pregnancy if she is married, already has a child, and a great career future ahead of herself. I told a cousin my sis was preggo and she got all angry. She already has a son and is married. I just don't get it. It's not like she going be able to hide the child for the rest of her life.........I did say I wasn't goin to tell anybody, but she should have known I was gonna tell my close cousin. And its not like my cousin would have told the "secret" to the world.

if i was ovulating on the 9th of march(thats the day i had sex) and my period is due on the 20th of march will it come.... if i'm pregnant? If it doesnt come how far along would i be? its confusing because people say doctors tell by your last missed period but i had a period in feb. but i believe i got pregnant march 9. if my period doesnt come on the 20th ..... how far would i be.... is it 4 weeks? i dont think so because from the 9th to the 20th is only 11 days..... thats not 4 weeks....i'm confused...please help

I'm only 17 me and My boyfriend have talked about having children. and we both want a baby and believe we are ready.. I know ppl are thinking what about ur parents.. Well I havent lived with my parents since I was 16. I've raised my cousin and my best friends baby so I Have plenty on experince but he wants to wait till after I get out of school.. should I wait or jus go with what i want? which is a baby RIGHT NOW!

I think my baby (11 week old boy) might have reflux. He fuses when he nurses and afterwards sometimes doesn't like being laid flat, and then fusses a lot and arches his back and his legs get straight and stiff? And when he cries sometimes it's like a coughing cry, like the beggining of a cough and then a cry over and over? Any help would be appreciated 1st baby!

I will start from the beginning, back in Oct/Nov i finished my pill, It took about 33 days for me to come on my period then the nxt mth 30 days, next mth 28 then last mth 25 days, as you can see the days to start my period were getting less and less. But now this mth i am on day 28! and still no period! Yes we have had unprotected sex a few times thoughtout the month but i have done a pregnancy test (2 days ago) and it came up negative?!?!? i don't feel pregnant and i have felt that my period was gonna come on but nothing! You know the usual stomach cramps etc. Does anyone have any ideas? i'm probably just jumping the gun.

I'm a young mother of two boys (under two) Recently I have been looking at adopting a girl from Guatemala (around age 4-6) I love being a mother and we're financially stable, no gov assistance, etc.

Why is there so much negativity toward young parents?

Would I have trouble trying to adopt so soon? I feel like I could make a big difference in a child's life.

I know some country's wont even let young couples adopt. Does anyone have any info on Guatemala's?

Also, anyone have any great experiences with a specific agency? Any general advice would be nice as well.

Is it possible to get a period if I am pregnant? I always thought a missed period is the first sign, but my husband says you can still get your period a couple of times.

I would really like to have my children close in age like as soon as my first is born get pregnant with my second. The reason for this is that i have a 10 year gap with my brother and felt really lonely as a child. I dont know how safe this is but know women do it all the time.

I do not agree with my mom adopting my cousin. My aunt is a big loser who can't take care of her children so my cousin is temporarily living with my mom. My mom wants to adopt him because she wants him to stay with the family but she is so mean to him. He has problems b/c of the life he's been forced to lead so far and he is troublesome but she treats him like crap. He is not treated the same as my sisters who still live a t home. My mom screams at him and he is really trying. I don't know what I can do??? I want to call the social worker and remain ananymous. Is this wrong and can I do this?? Please help???
