I don't have any children yet but I plan to within the next couple of years and I'm already thinking about major issues that may or may not come up so I have a question for you parents out there...

How would you react if your kid came home and told you they were pregnant or they got someone else pregnant?

Hi everyone!
I just found out yesterday I am having a baby boy! NOW all I have to do is figure out a theme for his nursery. If it was a girl, I was going to do precious moments... but daddy will not allow for his boy to have a precious moments nursery!

Any cute ideas or themes others have used? I want it to be pretty simple not real busy... ???

Our last name rhymes with "get rich" - Dit-trich. So what would go good with that, do you think? My husband is impossible and he hates every name - so?

my baby is 9 mths old and he's been wonderful, he's happy all the time, hardly ever cries, and is trying to walk! i kinda want to try for another baby when he turns 1yr, i loved being pregnant, i felt so healthy, and i love watching him grow. if i try for baby #2 when my first is a year old and if it takes around 3 mths to concieve (like with my first baby) then they'll be 2 yrs apart (i want them to be close in age). i guess my question is if anyone has two small children (2 yrs apart) and if it's a good idea?

Yesterday me and my bestfriend of whom I've known since preschool went to the hospital to confirm if she was pregnant or not (she tested positive on two take home test before this) and well she is pregnant for sure. She is going to have an abortion, and she knows this for sure. We are going to town a few hours away so that she can have the procedure done (they don't do it at our hospital). Anyways we would really like to know how she is going to feel physically after the procedure? Will she be really sick or anything? Well please respond if you can help in anyway.

Don't get me wrong. I like children. However, it seems to me that life is hard and often painful. Also, you've got to admit that we live in a pretty screwed-up world. And not only that, but life seems pointless to me, since you're only born to eventually die. Why would anyone want to put another person through all that?

We're having a shower for a friend soon and we thought it might be fun to merge the parents' photos to produce a potential baby! Does anyone know of any sites that do this?

Thank you

I had preg induced hypertension with my first at 34 wks, and preeclampsia with my second 26.3wks. Both resulted in immediate emergency, first delivery &second c-sect.

The drs suggested a specialist, he looked at extensive blood work to find a possible reason. Something about my body having an underlying problem that shows up while my body is pregnant (so to say "compromised and overworked")

Does anyone know of this. With a high ANA he suggested lupus, but didn't diagnose. Said come back if I have more problems. Yeah, hubby is done, no more risks for him, he was scared I was gone. (I was gone on Meds that I blocked out a bunch, probably good to stay low stress) He was wonderful

The only other health issue I have ever had was with muscle and joint pains. My asthma and alergies went away with a climate & environment change

Any ideas, resources, or experiences. I sympathize with unfortunate ones, I have one health baby girl, and one remembered.

For instance, a light skinned mother, and a fairly dark father have a very light skinned baby...That doesnt mean anything about the paternity? Just because the father is dark, doesnt mean the baby has to be right?

I am trying to convince a friend of mine to go and apply for food stamp assitance. She has a part time job and a baby on the way. She already has WIC but i think she is scared to go apply for the Food Stamps. It cant do anything but help with her food bill, if not pay the whole thing each month.

I know each state is different but how much each month would a person get for food assistance? (im looking to give her a range or ave.)

I'm trying not to stress about it but is this true or can I possibly be pregnant?

We will be moving this summer, and will be storing alot of things including baby clothes in a storage unit until we find a house. They may be stored up to 3 months, and in a hot, dry climate. What is the best way to store the clothes? Bags, boxes, tubs? What will keep them the "freshest?" Thanks!!
