Yesterday me and my bestfriend of whom I've known since preschool went to the hospital to confirm if she was pregnant or not (she tested positive on two take home test before this) and well she is pregnant for sure. She is going to have an abortion, and she knows this for sure. We are going to town a few hours away so that she can have the procedure done (they don't do it at our hospital). Anyways we would really like to know how she is going to feel physically after the procedure? Will she be really sick or anything? Well please respond if you can help in anyway.

Physically she will be weak, and most likely "ill" - as if she has the flu. She will be very tired, and that will be both physically and emotionally. There will be some pain from the procedure as well, and she will need to stock up on sanitary napkins to use for the bleeding she will have for a few days afterward. She will have pain medication to take which will help.
Be supportive of her.

Prepare yourself for a lot of **** in answer to this question.
Have her call the hospital or clinic where she will be going and ask questions beforehand so she'll know what to expect. Tell her to ask every question she can think of.
She should be totally informed beforehand.

she will feel groggy and bleed for up to 2 weeks after tell her not to do anything strenuous for a few days after the operation
WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE SO JUDGEMENTAL ABOUT ABORTION?
i used to feel so anti about it but until you go through being in a situation where you have to go through one DONT JUDGE

u dont understand how much it hurts in every way and if a doctor doesnt know what he is doing she might not ever be able to have children ever again...people try to have babies every day,children are a blessing!some people would do anything to have a child and now your friend is going to have an abortion.if she is old enough to have sex she is old enough to raise a child. God dammit use a condom!

Whats wrong with you! Why would you punish a baby for your mistake. You'll regreat it later when you deciede to have kids knowing you murdered one already.

You should tell your friend not to make grown up decision's like have sex if she does not plan to be a mother.
