I went for invetro fertilization and the morning I was supposed to go for the blood test I took a pregnancy test (I just couldn't wait!) It was negative and I was very disappointed. Nonetheless, I went for the blood test and when I got the results the count was extremely high, I was caring twins. so I don't trust the home pregnancy tests!

Let us know what happens.

You were definitely right to change the brand because if this particular 1st brand gave you the same change in results twice then the brand may be defective. The first / initial reading is usually accurate and since you said the other brand gave you a negative then i don't think you are pregnant. But if you have symptoms of pregnancy I would suggest you wait a little while again (about a week) and take another test or visit a doctor. Good luck!

if it came up negative at first you are not pregnant- somewhere in the directions it will tell you that after a period of time the results are no longer accurate

Usually after 10 minutes they say not to read the results because it is inaccurate. Whatever the instant result is, take that as your answer.
