For instance, a light skinned mother, and a fairly dark father have a very light skinned baby...That doesnt mean anything about the paternity? Just because the father is dark, doesnt mean the baby has to be right?

skin color does not determine paternity

No, skin color has nothing to do with paternity. The child could have the color skin of either parent, or a blood relative on either side. Same goes for hair color and eye color. Some genes are dominant and some are recessive.

NO. genes work in mysterious ways.. I am biracial.. but i look white. (my dad is white and my mom is black and indian) My hubby is black and two of our children is my complection and our 3rd child is his complexion but a weee bit lighter. Skin color has nothing to do with DNA. Just because the dad is dark.. doesnot mean the baby will be dark or even mid way olive complected. Some people are under educated and assume babys are to be a spitting immage of their dad or mom being skin color. I have coarse thick hair but i had comments saying that i dont look mixed because i look too pale or my nose isnt wide and i dont have big lips... these people kill me really. I have a friend who is jamician and she is paler than the average white chick. her mother is dark but father is light... this is why people should never JUDGE or LABEL others for they dont really know anything about them.

Skin color does not determine paternity. Just because the baby is light, doesn't mean it isn't his child. You should get them tested to find out for sure if it's his baby. If you question it, you must have a reason to question it, so get them tested to be sure.

No it does not. The child's skin color could be from another family member, like a grandparent or something. My daughter's father and I both have dark skin and our daughter was born really light, even though she's almost two, she still not as dark as us. We know he's the father, she just got here skin color from another family member.

My ex has black nieces. His nieces mom is white and her daddy is black. She had a baby, now the niece is light complection and the daddy to the baby is as black as a ace of spades(not trying to sound raciest)the baby is white(no color in her)with blue eyes and thin curly blonde hair.DNA was done because the father denied the baby being his saying he dont make white babys,DNA proved the chance of him being the father 99.7%.

the baby will take 20% only from his father and it will go to the 7th grandfather not only from his father or the mather
