Ectopic Pregnancy. Could it be? (only answer if you are sure:))?

I went to the doctor today and they said that it could be kidney problems because i went there with cramps and vomiting. They then tested my urine for a pregnancy it came back negitive. But on my ultresound form it says ectopic pregnancy. Could i be pregnant, Ive had 2 periods since ive last had sex.

I type radiology reports for a living. On reports like ultrasounds, they person making the appointment (receptionist) types things like "ectopic pregnancy," before the actual test is done meaning they are looking for an ectopic pregnancy or ruling out ectopic pregnancy. The technologist would not have written the results at any point. It is only the physician who then dictates the report and if there were urgent findings would verbally call in the report to the treating physician. I am thinking this is what happened in your situation that this was just the reason for the test.

The urine test does not always pick up a ectopic pregnancy....They had to do a blood test on me to find it...They were able to see it in the ultrasound also...

An ectopic is really painful & life threating...I remember just knowing something was really wrong! My shoulder started aching from the internal bleeding pushing upwards....And a throbing that turned into a peircing pain where the ectopic was found.

If your in dout and still in pain. Go to the ER for a second oppion. Better to be safe than sorry.

Have you had the ultrasound? Was the ectopic preg written on the form to get your ultrsound by the doctor or was it written by the ultrasound technician as a report to your doctor. If it was written by the technician go to your doctor asap and show him the ultrasound. Dont muck around with this.

This should have been a question that you asked them. I doubt that it is an ectopic because if it was they wouldn't have released you. This can be very dangerours and they remove the embryo before your tube bursts and this needs to be done right away. good luck.
