After having my baby girl, I am waiting for my milk to dry up... and trying to avoid pumping to speed things up, however...my breasts are constantly sore and uncomfortable. Does anyone know how I can get any relief without drawing out the process??

Aside from taking care of the children my responsibilities include light housekeeping, cooking and personal errands for their parents. I do drive their car during work hours and they pay me when they go on vacation. (Medical is not included) I am thinking about asking for a raise, i have been working there for 1yr 7 mths. Do think it is reasonable to ask? how much?

my baby girl is 5 months old and was playing happily in her bouncer when my friends son who is 21 moinths came up and bit her arm really hard so hard infact that he riped her skin even though she was wearing an long sleeved vest and a long sleeved top, she screemed so hard and i got such a shock that i just grabbed her and held her i didnt even realise how bad she was biten, when i looked at her arm i cryed, nothing like this has ever happend to her before.
before i realized what i had done i shouted at the boy to get out of the room as i felt like i could have killed him. his mother got all defencive and told me not to shut at him as he is just a baby,
i realize i could have handeled it better but this is not the first time this boy has done something like this he is always hitting and biting other children, he destroys my house everytime he come up and he has no remorse about what he has done, i personally think there might be a more serius problem then him just being "bold".......

I know I can't be the only one who's had this problem. I changed jobs about a month before I found out I was pregnant. I have 30 days before I can qualify for insurance but the policy says they won't cover "pre-existing" conditions, including pregnancy existing on the date of coverage. Can they deny a pregnant women coverage? Even if I did qualify, the deductible is $5000 which is about the cost of maternity care and delivery anyways. Do I have any options so this pregnancy won't be a huge financial burden?

I'm in an interracial relationship with a caramel colored black man. I have naturally dark blondish/brown hair and blue green hazel eyes. I am very light skinned. He looks mixed but both of his parents were dark skinned. His father amazingly enough had blue eyes. He and I have been debating what kind of hair our child might have, the texture and it raised my curiosity. What are the chaces my child would have silkier hair than course like his? Does anyone else have an interracial child and what beautiful attributes did your child end up having considering it is mixed?

My mother calls me everyday to ask "what did she have for breafast, lunch, dinner"...did you take her in for her check up...did she get her shots...you know you can't do this..or you should do that. She gave me alot of help when my girl was first born, but I've got it under control now...How do I get her to back off without hurting her feelings? I've never given her a reason not to trust me, she's just being WAY overprotective.

My girlfriend and I talked about having sex in a pool and in a hot tub... And all kinds of different places... And I always thought the chlorine would take care of the sperm afterwards... But now I'm not sure... If we have sex in a pool or hot tub and someone else gets in the pool/hot tub shortly after we're done... Can they get pregnant from my sperm?

I mean, were you afraid it would be the worst experience of your life? Were you afraid that you wouldn't be a good parent? Did you fear the colicy baby? Were you afraid or did you wonder if you would love your child as much as you do?

Just curious on this. I was scared when I found out I was going to have a kid, and I wondered if I would be a good parent. I still wonder that, but I never thought it would feel so good to just see my daughter's smile or hear her laugh. I never imagined feeling like that at all.

My son first birthday is next month. His father can not be here (Army) and everyone is pressuring me to have a huge family get together. We are talking cousins uncles grandmothers, all of them. I know they mean well but my son is just not a social baby. He crys when around unfamiliar things. Should I give in and have a huge party or stick to my gut and do a small at home immediate family thing? Oh also if you have any suggestions for themes and what not I am open.........

I have a four year old son that i have with this man who doesn't really do anything except pay child support for him he used to see him up until recently when i found out i was pregnant with our second child together. now he says he will only be a father to my four year old and not the baby because he didn't want the baby and it is my fault and i'm being selfish because now the baby has to suffer. So since i didnt kill the baby like he wanted he wants nothing to do with it. My question is should i let him see the four year old now or just stop it all together so there is no confusion when the baby comes. Because i won't let him take one and not the other they are a package deal they are both his.
