I'm in an interracial relationship with a caramel colored black man. I have naturally dark blondish/brown hair and blue green hazel eyes. I am very light skinned. He looks mixed but both of his parents were dark skinned. His father amazingly enough had blue eyes. He and I have been debating what kind of hair our child might have, the texture and it raised my curiosity. What are the chaces my child would have silkier hair than course like his? Does anyone else have an interracial child and what beautiful attributes did your child end up having considering it is mixed?

That really all depends. My brother his black and his baby's mother is white. She has blonde hair and he has black hair. The baby has brown hair, and the baby has silky hair, well it was curly and kinda course when he was a baby, and now that he'llbe 5 soon, it's gotten silkier.

It's all based on the DNA in the egg and sperm at conception. It's like asking what color a childs eyes would be if it's moms were blue and dads were green....those characteristics are not predictible, there are too many variables, but it is fun to wonder. Lots of kids are born with one thing and end up with another. My son had black thick hair at birth and it all fell out after 6 months, what grew in was a soft light ash blond that most women would kill for :)

My Nephew is 14. He is mixed with black and white. Mom has dark brown skin black hair and brown eyes. Daddy has blonde hair blue eyes and olive skin. My nephew looks like he is a Puerto Rican) . He looks more latino. he has Silky straight hair but when he lets it grow out it is super curly and fine. his skin is the same color as Jennifer lopez.Don't worry your baby will be beautiful no matter what features it picks up. I have yet to see a biracial black/white baby that is not.

I am blonde, my husband is Haitian. We have three light skinned (olive) colored chilren. My middle daughter has blue eyes, and they all have "white" hair.

You never know what you are going to get!!!! My Sister-in-law married a white guy, and their children are WHITE. you wouldn't even think to ask if the mom was black (haitian).

Best of luck... it can be hard dealing with follks. everybody wants to know 'what is are my girls'

....oh well.

Well, it all depends. Take me for example, my mom is a Chinese Hokkien gal while my dad is a Malay Javanese boy. Result is I look like a Chinese gal with my dad's big eyes and small lips like my mom's. I hv fair skin.
