I'm using birth control pills for almost 5 years now, I'm afraid that it will be the cause that I can't have children in the future.

I will tender my comment strictly on the issue of folate depletion, as other side effects tend to affect the woman rather than the child. Numerous written and personal discussion sources have highlighted the link between "the pill" and folate deficiency. Widely gathered sources have affirmed my belief in folate deficiency and spina bifida. Similarly, a link with premature births has been touted though my written referenced sources are more scant on this issue. On the positive, folate is now widely used as an additive in food products, e.g. milk and juice, and other supplements are now available. One would hope that any folate depletion caused by the pill can therefore be overcome by these means. I apologise for not taking the time to dig out and quote some of the written sources but your question caught my eye as I was popping on quickly to check something else. The comments are sincerely shared and I trust you can use them as starting points for your own research on the issues.

My ex wife went on birth control pills after my daughter was born. She developed blood clots in her legs and had to take blood thinners for awhile. But it has not kept her from doing anything.
