This lady at the daycare brought her 7 month old in today as I was dropping off my son, and I over heard her talking about how is is being spacey andnot feeling well with a fever an stuff. She said to give the medicine in the bag and never told the caregiver the amount, so I said I will look at it (after the lady left), cause my son is the same weight, just to make an estimate, well, it was cold and allergy medicine for ages 6+, I told the caregiver NOT to give that t the little boy and she agreed with me, but she took the little boystemp and it was 102; so she called her to come ge him. The thing is, why on earth would someone give their infant that medcineand not go to the doctor? I am so upset about this I don't even know what to do.

She doesn;t even get him out of the carseat or say bye or anything either, like in and out, really fast, and it makes me so upset, she even did this on his firstday of care a couple weeks ago.

I don't know what to do?

What should be in the Big newborn diaper bag at all times? How many clothing pieces, diapers ect. ect. for long outings or short. (I plan to breast feed) if that matters..

Where is the best place to get my son's first birthday pics done? I am not looking for perfection, just good pics at a good price. I have never taken him for professional pics. I was thinking Kiddie Kandids, Penny's, or Sears. I have had different opinions from friends. Also his birthday is in the middle of December, when should I have them done? I know its going to busy with Christmas.

my daughter will be 5 months old on 11-16-07. she has been on baby cereal and baby food since she was exactly 4 months old, her doctor told me to start her on it. I have followed his dicections exactly as far as giving veggies first then fruits and the amounts to give. right now she is eating 1 jar per day around 6pm when we get home. I feel like I should send her something for breakfast too, I don't want her to be hungry for solid food all day long but I don't want to overfeed her so that she gets sick either. My grandma watches her during the day while the hubby and I work and she said just let her know when she needs to start feeding her, she thinks she is ready for it now. When did you start giving baby food 2 and 3 times a day? Does my daughter sound ready?

My 9 month old loves to self feed. I give her cheerios, diced cheese, diced veggies and fruit........ but I need some more ideas. She doesn't have any teeth yet ( my other kids didn't get any teeth until about 13-14 months!) and I try to only give her healthy foods. Any suggestions of something new to try?

....in July my baby would have been one years old. Lately I've been thinking about him and I've lost like twenty pounds since July. I want another baby, not to replace my other child but I'm lonely. My baby's father isn't really in my life too much anymore. We don't see eye to eye, the only time we see eye to eye is when I talk about our baby. He think another baby will make our "relationship" stronger. I don't know what to do. I want another baby by him but i'm afraid the same thing will happen again. What should I do?

My littl'n is turning a year and I was just wondering how often other mothers are nursing their 1 year old. He nurses about 7 times a day, and wakes about 3-4 times at night to snack a bit. He eats solids, but not a lot. It seems that every time I place food in front of him it makes him think "Oh, food....hey, I'm hungry, I wanna nurse!" LoL. I really don't have an issue with this, don't mind the frequency of nursing at all, nor do I mind waking at night to nurse. I really just am wondering how other 1 year olds are doing in their nursing patterns.

or is it just the 'earliest' age recommended? How long did you keep your child on formula/breastmilk for before switching entirely to cow's milk?

I was reading the answers that where given to someone about questions she had about feeding her baby whole milk. There was one answer that caught my attention, the person answering mentioned that her and her family where vegan. I've heard of those diets, and I would love to start my children on it, because I know it's a healthier way of eating.
My questions are the following: What does that type of diet consist of? What do you feed your children? What do you feed your babies? What types of milk? Where do you shop for food? And all other type of help, advise, suggestions or additional information would be greatly appreciated.
I'm pretty sure I can find tons of information on the internet, but would like an insiders personal opinion. If you can also provide good websites that I might use, that would be great as well.
Thank you in advance for your help.

It's very frustrating...I find that a lot of tmes I (TRY TO) leave my 2 month old at home with daddy for some much needed ME TIME she fusses and sometimes cries non stop until I come back, or until she falls asleep in his arms from crying so hard... I feel so bad because he feels that she hates him & he gets upset. He works almost 12 hour days; 6 days a week, so maybe it has something to do with that...I dont want to leave her because I feel bad, but I am a stay at home mama with a 3 year old as well, so I think I deserve to go to the gym 3 hours a week! HELP! What do you suggest I do?
