Yes. My daughter was a year old and we were done shopping. She was laying on me sleeping while we were going to the mall enterance. On my arms were bags of shopping gifts. It was winter out and so I put a blanket over her and some kind stranger opened the mall door. the wind hit us and it was about -20 outside, I started walking to the parking lot and suddenly my daughter lunged backwards. She fell upside down, head first onto the cement. I screamed and dropped everything and did the hysterical mom thing while everyone rushed around. She was bleeding and the amblunance finally came and took us 30 min. to drive us to the hospital across the road. There they questioned me about the marks on her neck (she had a rope burn from those gloves with strings on them that hang out of the jackets). I thought they were going to call Social Services on me for the rope burn from her mitts on her neck and for dropping her on her head. The bleeding turned out to be from biting her tongue. I went home very upset and got up every 2 hours (as you do when a head has had force on it). She was fine and social services never called. My daughter was fine. I was tramatized!

I think every mother has a story. My baby was on the couch. She couldn't roll over yet. I walked away keeping my eye on her. She somehow wiggled to the edge and rolled over onto the carpet. She was fine, nothing was wrong. I felt like a horrible mother. She barely let out a little cry and I watched her closely. My husband is an EMT and together we decided she was fine and didn't need to go the ER. She's now 2 1/2 and has fallen off of everything, and she's fine.

my daughter fell off the couch and the bed... but our apartment had double padding under the carpet, so she cried, but there were no markings on her skin... and once we got her to settle down, we carefully moved each limb to see if she reacted in pain indicating a broken or dislocated something.
the couch she was about 5 months and I was reaching for something on the floor and almost fell myself, somehow lost my grip on her and she ended up on the floor
the bed she was older, maybe 8 months, and she had been asleep and I had been reading on the bed with her... I made the mistake of just running to the bathroom to pee for just a minute I think maybe the flush woke her - while I was washing my hands she started screaming and I found her on the floor!
no trips to the ER, she was fine... I know a lot of people who's babies fell from the bed or other places... one even dropped her son when she bent over to pick somethign up and he squirmed causing her to lose her grip dropping him on his head - on the kitchen tile floor!!! fortunately he'd just woken from a nap, and he stayed awake for many hours and she just watched him very closely... he had a goose egg on his head and a nice bruise that lasted a good while!! but he was fine...
Only one that I know of actually had to go to the ER, their daughter had a dislocated shoulder, she had falled off a coffee table, crawled up on it at around 10 months.

I was in a hotel room in Miami with my 8 month old. He was sitting on the bed and I turned my head away and suddenly heard a thump!! He had fallen off the bed and was screaming! I was hysterical and couldn't get a hold of my husband at all. I called the nurse on call at the docs office back home in California. She was able to calm me down and tell me what the signs of a concussion were. I had no idea what part of his body he landed on but I needed to know what to look out for. It all turned out fine but I was quite shaken up. More so than the baby! Anyway, you just have to keep your eyes on them as much as possible but stuff's gonna happen anyway!

My son has rolled off the bed many times, and no he did not end up in the er or even have a bruise on him.
He rolled off of me once when he was like 2 weeks old cause he would not sleep no other way than laying on my chest, it scared me to death but he did not even cry, i called the doctor and all of that but he was fine.
My son is 6 years old now. I have never ever dropped a baby including my own but that is something that was always in the back of my mind "What if?"

No, never. I am always really anal about the care of my baby. I just have a rule of thumb that my baby can never be left unattended on a couch, changing table or bed where he can roll off. I dreamt one night that he was in bed with me.. and when I woke up, I was on the edge of the bed so I thought he had fallen. He was right there sound asleep in his bassinet. Ugh it was a scary feeling.
My son is only 2 months so I am sure he will fall sooner or later. I dread it.

I don't remember how old my daughter was she was younger than one. I was storming outside and our electric went off and I was scared that she would wake up and I would not hear her. I put her in the bed with me and I also sleep with my hand on her ankle and I woke up right as she rolled off the bed. I freaked out and got a flash light and looked her over and as soon as the lights came back on I looked her over again. She was going to the doctor for a check up the next day and I just had them look her over. She was fine. Thank Goodness!!

as much as i hate admitting this i have in fact "dropped" my daughter mackenzie. I had put her in her car seat and she was 6 months old. still in the rear facin seat. she was really wriggly for some reason. she slid out of her seat. we donty know how she managed to do it. but luckily the seat was over the couch and not very high from it. maybe a couple inches. so she landed on the couch. didnt hurt her at all though. we ended up staying in that day and i made my fiance go and get new seats before i got into that car with my babies.

Believe it or not...my husband was dropped down the stairs as an infant by his dad. I don't know if he went to the ER (this was in Scotland 30 years ago so I dunno)...but he's perfectly fine.
But I'd make sure to go to the ER to be sure.
