Any fresh fruit, veggie, or meat that is pureed, can be good nutrition. Try to buy only organic, or grow your own. This can be very economical as well.

i just bought a small food processor and it expanded my baby's options so much. cook a piece of chicken(no bones) pieces of carrot, celery in a saucepan for about 20 min. until the chicken is very tender. transfer all solids & some broth to the food processor or blender. blend well. if to thick you can add more liquid. not only is this delicious but you add a nutrisious value for your baby's development & growth. i sometimes add a little baby rice cerial for an extra nutricious kick. if you make a big batch. store some in the fridge or in the freezer in an air tight container. this will save lots of time during the week.

I would just blend fruits (skinless) together and mix it with oatmeal cereal. The fruits I use are usually apples, pears, and apricots. These fruits give out so many juice, it makes the oatmeal cereal some sweetness without added sugar. Since my son started having teeth, we would just give him a banana and have him bite on it.

I'm not one to make a lot of babyfood but I used to mash up bananas and mix it with some rice cereal and milk. My daughter loved it.
