ok were expecting our first in less than a month. from day one my hubby says the dirty diapers are "my job"
he is a amazing man and will be a amazing father but for some reason it really hurts my feeling that he is so agains changing a poopy diaper. i mean its his own child! i know its silly and insignificant but i just hoped he would love doing every little thing, even poopy diapers! Do any of you ladies have husbands this way? is it a normal thing for a guy to feel this way? will it fade? and if he doesnt get over it should i be offended or just understand that some people dont like poop...even if its their own childs?

How often would you say is appropriate to change the diaper? And, do you still need to burp the baby if he/she is drinking formula from bottles?

When is too long, too long?
OK...I believe there are HUGE benefits to breastfeeding ( I breastfed both my children as long as my body allowed, I went dry with both early on)...however, when is too far???
I met a woman 2 days ago that was breastfeeding her 5 year old. Now nutritional value aside, what is this doing to a young boys psychological well being? I mean, this is Kindergarten age.
Am I the only one out there that thinks this is ridiculous? Please respond either way..I would even like to hear an argument for this behavior.

My husband and i are TTC. I am slightly concerned because he wieght 13lbs at birth his 2 brothers wieghted almost 15lbs at birth and all 5 of his mothers brothers wieghted between 13-15lbs at birth. When a child is that large is a women still expected to push the child out or will the make other arrangement like a c-section or enduce labor earlier? Not saying i couldnt do it, but that is nearly double the size of the average newborn. And on that note, what lb limit are newborn clothes, and diapers?

My son is 10 weeks old and is exclusively breastfed. He is very healthy and weighs 13lbs. Although I am demand feeding, I assumed that my son would be in more of a routine at this age. At night he sleeps for 5-7 hours before waking and then only feeds for 10-15 minutes before falling asleep again which is great. During the day though, he may feed for only 15 minutes and is content for 2 hours before wanting another feed but at other times he can feed for over an hour and then want to be fed again, just one hour later. He also doesn't sleep well duriing the day and generally only sleeps in 10-30 minute intervals. When he is very tired he tends to feed more frequently which I think is mainly comfort feeding, as he's tired and cranky and is trying to soothe himslef. But at these times he only goes 30 minutes between feeds. I'd appreciate advice from women who have breast fed or are currenlty breast feeding babies of the same age. How often does your baby feed and for how long?

He wakes up for a bottle every night around 2:30am. It does not seem to matter what I give him for dinner (around 7:30pm). He has only slept through the night once in almost a year now! This mommy is tired!!!

Thanks?

My daughter is 8 months and I started of feeding her lots of orange solids - pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot from 6 months. Her face started going orange/yellow. Someone told me it was from her food so I have been only giving her green food for the last few weeks but she is still orange/yellow.

How do I know if it's jaundice or if it's just still from her food?

my 6 month old has acquired her hospital blanket has her lovey, she has to have it to sleep or when she is not feeling good or just wants to lay down, she rubs it on her face and it calms her down.
I wanna switch it to a different blanket or somthing else cause of the "hospital look" you know the ones withthe feet prints all over them :)
can i do that or will she notice if i just take it away and replace with somthing else?
At least i have like 5 of them i took from the hospital to keep washing and give her new ones but I just don't like the look i guess, am i bad or what? lol oh well how do you thin kshe would react to doing that?
