A small towelling type incase bubs throws up . there is nothing wrong with wanting to keep your clothes clean.~~

Leave the bib on, put the baby up to your shoulder, flip the baby´s bib up over your shoulder...so that when the baby burps you don´t get URP on your clothes. It doesn´t have to be a bib...it can be anything...even your shirt will suffice...but do you really want URP on your shirt?
Or, if still a very small baby, you can lay the baby face down on your lower arm (holding him/her sort of football-style) and burp the baby like this...again the bib or towel to protect everyone´s respective clothing. Don´t do this over carpet, because URP could land on the floor.

It would be a good idea.
They generally spit up while/after burping, so it will protect their clothing.
Any bib will be fine. Ones that do up with Velcro instead of string are safer as there is less chance of strangulation, but it is really up to you and what you have available.

YES YES YES YES YES, a baby is most likely to posset (bring their milk or food back up) whilst being winded/burped!! Any type of bib, preferably fabic (not shiny, milk just runs of it) and a big one!!

Surely you know what a bib is for,yes you do leave it on so as little accidents do not happen on your shoulder or knee.Terry Toweling preferably.

i bought some cloth diapers and use them as burp cloths. i would sling them over my shoulder under the baby cuz, yeah, if anything comes up....

yes if you don't want spit up on you. I put a cloth on my shoulder. I've been spit up on too many times.
