My 8 month old baby has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming and crying like he just had a nightmare. I pick him up and rock him and nothing seems to calm him. I try to lay him in bed with us and that doesn't work either. He just started this, this week. He would only wake up once or twice in the night before. I feel bad because nothing I do seems to console him. Do any of you know anything about this or what can be done?

For the rest I breatfeed him. Since I started the rice cereal he tends to get some constipated from the rice cereal, but since breastmilk alone does not fill him up, I continue giving him the rice cereal with a tiny bit of apple paste which seems to be helping the constipation. I tried other cereals like oath meal but he hates it and this constipates him even more, so I stoped. My question is, is apple paste okay for a 5 month old? Do you give this to your baby? and what else does your 5 month old eat? Thanks

Should a mother be concern when her 18 month old is not trying to walk? My friend's son is 18 months old and he is not trying to walk. One reason I think he's not walking is she constantly holds him and whenever she put him on the floor he yells.

I had my baby 9 wks ago and tried to breast feed at first but gave up on it after a few weeks. Now I have a strong desire to start again and my baby instinctively still goes for my chest when hungry. I only have a tiny tiny amount of milk coming out of my breasts, is it too late???

Why do they appear? How do they vanish on their own? Not that Im worried but my week old baby gets hiccups for around 5 minutes and then it vanishes by itself. Researching on some scientific explanation, can you help?

You all know the one I'm talking about, the one that starts "hush little baby, don't say a word, momma's gonna buy you a mocking bird"... I sing it all the time to my son, but I end up making up verses. He laughs when I do, but for my peace of mind, I need to know the actual lyrics.

My 4-month old daughter recently had her 2nd round of shots and she seems to be having a slight reaction to them...
Symptoms include runny nose, irritability, not sleeping (both of us), excessive drooling. If I crush the Vit.C up and mix it with her rice cereal dinner, or even grind it into a powder and put it in her milk, will this harm her??

I bought a diaper genie at a garage sale, it does not have the twist top like the ones i've seen online, but has this removal circle piece item inside- Does anyone know what to do with this? Do I still twist three times and then have to remove the piece with every diaper? It might be worth reinvesting in another one!

My pediatrician recommended them for my daughter, and all I can find at Wal-Mart are "Poly Vi Sol". I called them and they said that's the same thing, just a different brand name, but it tastes AWFUL and my daughter HATES it. I'd like to at least TRY the Tri Vi Sol.

my son is 8 months old still exclisivly breastfed and wakes 2-4 times a night to feed....i love sleeping with him, knowing whens he's hot or cold, not waking up to a crying baby all night, wakeing to his happy fat grin in my face every morning....

he sleeps between me and the wall never his father and starts off in the crib everynigh and isn't in bed when my hubby goes to sleep....

my husband says no more kids (i disagree) so i'm really tring to cherish the babytime i have left.....

The reason I ask is because we just moved to another state and we don't have anyone to take care of her and I would hate leaving her with a babysitter. Do you think they would make an exception because she's my daughter or will I have to be alone during labor and delivery so my husband can watch my daughter?

I am due in 7 weeks, and we have an almost 3 year old son... (we are having a girl this time), and I am wondering what to do about this issue.... My son had some baby toys when he was an infant, and he eventually stopped playing with them... It has been nearly two year since I put them away. Now we are getting them out and redy for the new baby, and he seems to be attached to them again.. Sitting on the floor and playing with the baby gym, trying to fit into the infant car seat, sucking on binkies (those weren't his though... he never liked them until now... he now tries to sneak through the house all day with them in his mouth)... and taking his old toys to his room, saying "mine"... He doesn't like to share... but of course he is gonna have to learn.. lol... Here lately he has been having frequent attitude problems, and etc... I am wondering what your opinions are on this and what I should do... Any Ideas would be great.... Thanks!!!
