I bought a diaper genie at a garage sale, it does not have the twist top like the ones i've seen online, but has this removal circle piece item inside- Does anyone know what to do with this? Do I still twist three times and then have to remove the piece with every diaper? It might be worth reinvesting in another one!

Hey, I used to have a diaper genie. I gave it away, but was able to find the instruction guide when I saw your question. I can scan the pages and send them to you via email if you want. Send me an email if you'd like me to do that for you. heatherc79@yahoo.com

I had one with my oldest daughter ( I have a newer one for this one)... You take the circle piece out, put the diaper in push it down a bit, put the piece back in, twist it around once ( I believe it clicked), leave it there until the next time. What I like better about the newer one is that when you empty it it has a cutting thing in the twister, so you don't have to pull it down the bottom and cut it with sissors, other than that I like the older one better... maybe though that is because I was used to it after using it for 2 kids!
