I had an emergency c-sec. 3 yrs. ago after going through the beginning stages of labor & personally think I went through hell, with being awake during surgery and the recovery....

Someone told me that vaginal delivery is far worse....I'm not quite sure I believe that...I think they both have their pros & cons....what do you think? Which do you think is worse?

***I am ONLY asking about this particular sling or similar ring slings, I appreciate your input but I only need to know about the sling I actually own!***

For those of you who use/have used the original Maya Wrap ring sling, did you like it?

How long did you use it?

Were you actually able to nurse hands free?

How did baby like it?

Anything else I should know/ tips?

I wanted one so bad with my first daughter and never got one, got a front carrier and she hated it! It never got used, I gave it away. This time I bought it in advance, expecting #2 in 2 weeks and hoping it may help make life a little easier with a newborn and a toddler. Thanks for any info!

Background Info-
I nursed my first daughter until she was 18 months when she decided she didn't want "noonies" anymore, she is now 27 months old. I am expecting baby girl #2 in two weeks. When she gets here it will be about 10 months since I last nursed.

Questions-
1) Is it as painful the second time around or are your nipples tougher because of the first child? I ask because when my first was about 1 week old all the sudden my nipples got super raw and I went through 2 weeks of hell! Obviously if I lived through it once I will again, but it would sure be nice if I didn't have to!

2) Is it difficult to nurse a newborn while chasing around a toddler? Any tips?

My son has been in the hospital since last friday with gastroenteritis and they told us that he can go home as soon as he eats regularly but yesterday he only had 11oz the whole day and so far today he's only had 6oz. We've tried giving him 4 different types of formula, different types of food in a jar and 3 different types of pedialyte. The hospital staff is out of ideas and so am I and I'm dying to go home to my 3 yr old. I'm starting to feel trapped. Does anyone have any ideas?

What do you think of Clarielle Elizabeth, or Aunika Noelle?

We're trying to find something feminine without being too cutesey, and unique without being too strange. The last name is Jacobsen.

Thanks!

If someone already named their child something someone who knows them shouldn't name their daughter the same thing, right?

The doctor has had us switch to a soy based formula for the next two weeks to see if milk is a trigger for it. He's also suggested infrequent baths and lots of moisturizers. He says she's too young for a steroid cream at this point.

If anyone has any suggestions for products (we bought baby oil and Aveeno lotion today) or tips I'd be so appreciative.

Thanks, Heather

When I was born my lungs weren't fully developed. My mom didn't smoke or anything. Now im pregnant (22 weeks). I just had my first sonogram a month or so ago. Would they have caught that my babys lungs werent okay in that sonogram? Can they tell this early in my pregnancy that my babys lungs aren't on schedule?

Any serious answers will be appreciated.

Which worked better for you? Or something else? Also what age did your baby cut their first tooth? Was it the bottom front? Did both bottom front teeth come in together?

I'm taking my 2-month old son on a 1.5 hour flight. He will sit in the lap of his mother. The question I have is should I put his car seat under the plane, if so, what should I do to ensure that it remains clean? I doubt I can take the car-seat into the cabin without an extra ticket.

My neighbour has a noisy baby. I am not talking about the once-in-a-while crying, but the never-ending 1am until 3am or more crying. It's driving me crazy. The mom always takes the baby out onto the balcony (this is a 4 building gated community apt complex) to let it screech. I have asked that she please not do this, and to close the windows when the baby cries. She refuses. What is the next step? I can't tolerate another night with this constant crying/screaming. Also, I know I am not the only one....as I see other people out at night giving her bad looks. Is it wrong to contact the police for help?

my 9 mo old dd was sleeping through the night from 4 mos old until she was 7 mos old. At first she was only waking once at 2 am now its at 1 and again at 4 and then waking up finally at 6 for the day....With time going back it has been even more crazy. She goes to bed at 8:30 pm with out a problem ..she has a good nightime routine and she has a good napping routine with 2 30 min naps/day. When we tried to get rid of a daily nap so she would be more tired she was more grouch and woke up even more! Also she eats with each nighttime waking.

I've only ever used the Swaddlers and now that my son is on size 3 they don't come in that size. I bought a box of Cruisers but I can't stand the way that they smell, the perfume, and I don't like that they are purple for my son (I know a silly reason, but a reason non the less). What are the Baby Dry ones like? Which are better?
