My baby is 9 months and she spits up ALOT!! ok i took her to doctor yesturday and asked him if he would put her on Zantac cause i think she has acid reflux, ok well he did put her on that. But i still had to get her blood drawn today. They stuck her several times, and called me 30 mins after i left and told me i needed to bring her back. I am not going back until tomorrow to get more blood drawn, but what i want to know is What are they going to do if she does have reflux?? They already gave me Zantac. I don't want to go again cause i dont like seeing my baby the way i did earlier. Its WORSE than the shots!

I will return to work from my maturnity leave in Aug. I plan to pump my breast at work, but I'm concerned that my schedule won't allow for it as I am a computer teacher, and my morning schedule is jam packed with classes. I will need two 20-30 minute breaks in the am (10 ish) and in the pm (2 ish). My afternoon should work out because that is when I have a long planning period.
Is it too much to ask for that extra 20-30 min break in the AM to make this all possible? I'm sitting here trying to adjust my schedule, and it is not working out.

We are going to Disney area parks with our will be 4 month old. We will be getting there by plane and then have a car. Should we get an umbrella stroller for space saving or use our more full sized Graco stroller from travel system that reclines/has place for storage?

My little baby is just 5 months old and needs to wear clothes for babies 12-24 months!!!!!!! Since he have a bunch of clothes for 6 months babies I don't feel able to spend a lot of money in new clothes. I don't understand how a simple outfit for him can be $10-15... I will need at least 5 of that because she is drooling a lot and I need to change his clothes several times during the day. Do you know some place that I can find cool, cheap and good quality clothes for babies?

Thanks!

I have heard someone mention before that they were able to nurse with their baby in a snugli/baby bjorn carrier. Is this possible? If so, whats the best way to do it? I also have a sling but my 3 month old doesn't like it as much and I don't want to bring both on a trip we are taking soon.

this mornin my son woke up and could not open his eyes due to the amount of sleep that had stuff to his eyes/lashes. he had 2 washes and a bath to get rid of the sleep but it kept coming back, he went to nursery today and the nursery said that this afternoon his eye became quite irritated and he was itching it, just gone to pick him up now and his right eye was full of a very liquidy yellow puss/sleep. any idea as the docs aint open and the only appointment i can get for now is an emergency one which i dont think its an emergency atm. any help or advice is much appreciated. thanx

my 13 month old son had a severe infection five weeks ago. i took him back to the drs because diabetes runs in my family he drinks 16oz of milk a day but also over a pint of juice/water. He never seems to be full up always looking for food but since he was in hospital although he is eating 2 dinners he is not really gaining weight he gets very tired quickly and cranky. All my dr said was keep an eye on him and bring him back in a week if you are still worried

One of the biggest crises of confidence that new mothers face has to do with sleep. Mothers feel responsible for their babies' sleep. Others ask mothers if their babies are sleeping through the night, as if this is something the mothers can control. Mothers lie to one another about whether or not their infants sleep through the night. And everyone lies about not bringing their babies into bed with them.

We lie because our society has unrealistic expectations of babies, and therefore we have unrealistic expectations of ourselves as mothers. Our expectations for babies' sleep simply do not coincide with babies' actual capabilities, or with the normal behavior of our species.

My son is turning 1 next month. He is also going to be Christened 2 days after his 1st bday. We've decided to celebrate both (bday and Christening) on the same day (the day of the Christening).

I need ideas on where to have the party/ reception? We have lots of family and friends coming from out of town and don't want to do it at home.

hi, my sister had a preemie and he was in the ncu for a month, when his cord came off my mom told her to tell the nurses to put a bandage over it so it wouldn't be an outie - the nurses never did and they told my sister that it doesn't matter if you put a bandage or not, if it's going to be an outie it's going to be one, is this true because i put one on my full term baby and his did not turn out an outie but my nephews is an outie now and my sister is really upset. does anyone know if not putting the bandage was a bad call on the nurses part?

My baby just turned 4 months and I know he should be giggling and squealing in delight, however this does not happen very often. I try really hard to make him laugh and squeal, but all he really does is smile a lot, I barely get a laugh. Is this normal, is something wrong that he is not laughing all the time by now?
