my doctor said i could give my baby water too. same age baby as yours. i bought a nuby sippy cup for babys, it has a squishy tip like a bottle and has 2 handles so its easier to hold. i give her up to 2 or 3 sippy's a day she gets half of it on her then in her mouth anyways. shes teething and likes crushed ice with water, she chews on the end and sips . feels good on her teeth while drinking. if were going some where
and its really a hot day then i just give her water when she wants it though. my dopctorsaidu can even give a little juice every now and then. i dont though.

Babies don't need water. The formula or breast milk has the perfect nutrional balance they need. You should be giving at least three 8 once bottles of formula daily, with four onces of juice. And some solid foods if your baby is able to sit and eat.

When my son was 6 months old he was eating 3 solid meals a day. I gave him a little water with the meals (and juice). I would also give him water if he had hiccups. But not allot.

At six months you can give your baby water. Those who said they don't need it are ridiculously wrong. Just make sure its regular drinking water and not that stuff with fluoride, your baby doesn't need a lot of fluoride, they have an abundance. Just offer it. It is way better than fruit juice.

I started to give water to my kids when they were 5 months old, just do it when ever u feel u baby is thirsty. Water is allways good, but not in excess.

Babies only really need water when they have a fever or they are swating alot otherwise breast milk or formula is just fine.
Now if your baby is getting hungery to early before her next feeding then you can give a lil water.

Your baby doesn't need ANY water at this age - s/he should still be drinking formula or breastmilk, and starting to experiment with different foods like rice cereal and baby food vegetables

Offer water at regular intervals during the day, she/he can have as much as they want (boiled not tap), they'll drink if thirsty.
