We are going to Disney area parks with our will be 4 month old. We will be getting there by plane and then have a car. Should we get an umbrella stroller for space saving or use our more full sized Graco stroller from travel system that reclines/has place for storage?

We're not going for the sake of him, we're going to watch 4 of our neices while their parents are at a conference- but it just happens to be in Orlando and we are making a vacation out of it.

Thank you very much for the advice! I was thinking of bringing the full sized one but just wanted to make sure. I also didn't know you can bring it to the gate and that it doesn't count toward your luggage. Thanks!

If you are wondering about strollers in the parks, you can rent them and you don't have to worry about them being stolen.. Hope you have a blast!!

Take the Graco. You'll be glad you did. You can take the Graco all the way to the gate at the airport (and it won't count as one of your carryon items OR one of your checked bags). The airline will take it at the gate, and bring it back to you at the gate when you get to Orlando.
The umbrella strollers usually aren't the right height for a typical adult to push without getting back strain, and with as much walking as you're going to do in the Disney theme parks, you're going to want something other than that.
TonyD101's answer above would be nice, if it were correct. Unfortunately, stroller rental is NOT free, and is actually quite pricey. You'll be glad you took your stroller.
Don't you love all the answers to the questions you didn't even ask, like "Should I take my four-month old to Disney World?"

Take the Graco. Check it at the gate (not with the rest of your baggage) and it will be waiting for you when you get off the plane (and you can use it at connecting airports.) Don't check your carseat either, you can possibly use it on the plane, if there's an empty seat, a flight attendant HAS to let you use it for your baby's carseat. I voted for the Graco mainly because although it's bulky, you can carry everything you need for baby underneath the stroller instead of lugging a bag with you while pushing the umbrella stroller.
I would never rent a stroller from somewhere, regardless of price, you never know when the last time they cleaned them was, or if some kid who was sick was in it last.

Use the stroller your baby is used to. You can bring the stroller to the gate and then they put it under the plane and have it ready for you when you get off the plane. So really, there is no need to worry about saving room.

I would definetly go with the larger stroller for the fact that it can lay down or sit up (can't lay the baby down in the umbrella stroller) and you will definetly need the storage space.

Dont go to Disney for the sake of your 4 month old. If you have older kids, thats another thing. If you do go, bring the big one, she'll be sleeping thru all of it.

take the fullsized!!! trust me!!! with a 4 month old, you have diapers, formula, bottles, and all that to carry around. you need the storage space!!!! plus, if you take the big one you can lay the back down and still kep going when it's nap time. Just take a blanket and the baby's favorite stuffed animal, lay the back down and let him sleep, and it doesn't interfere with your day. We took our big stoller to las vegas when we had our 3 month old with us. We kept right on sight seeing while he was sleeping away!

i would use the full size. it's more comfortable and offers some shade for the little one and who wants to carry around a diaper bag in disney? it'll get heavy after a while and you'll want your hands free for other fun stuff. also, you never know what you'll find to buy. you'll need the underside. have a great trip.

We are going in April and I am taking the lightest buggy but one that does lay back, also sunshade for buggy. My daughter is older but at 4mths I would defo take one that lies back and has storage under as babies need stuff every where they go.
Have a nice time!

use the graco, your baby will thank you. The plane will put your stroller up front, so it won't be in the way.
