as long as they are dressed appropriately, it would be good for them in my opinion, fresh air

If they are running a fever and you know why such as a ear infection or similar complaint like sore throat, strep throat any of these then going outside will not hurt the child as long as their ears are covered when its an ear infection. Sometimes a child will come into ER the parents say she had a high fever but doesnt have it now -no because they took her outside and the cooler outdoor air helped her to bring the fever down.

Fever of unknown origin is better to stay indoors- the risk of infecting other people too high.

I don't think it can hurt anything just make sure they are dressed according to the weather. Although I would rather see a baby with an extremely high fever just rest it out.
The problem with fevers is if you keep them to bundled the fever stays trapped inside the body. So if it is cold out and you bundle up the baby it can make the fever go higher.
I would let the babes rest while he's sick.

well, if your baby has a fever it means their body is fighting off an infection. In my opinion, it would be best for your baby to stay home and rest while they are recovering. If you HAVE to go somewhere (like the doctor's office) I am sure going outside will not worsen the fever, but they will heal faster if they have time to rest.

Think about what you like to do when you're feeling ill... going out and around sure isn't on the top of my list, and I'm a rational adult.

Most people avoid taking their babies places when they're sick. Babies can be a handful to port, and if they're fussy, sick, tired and uncomfortable, that's going to only make the experience worse for both parent and child.

Of course, if you have to go out, and the baby can't stay behind with a sitter, bundle them well and make your errands as brief as possible. The baby will get better faster with rest and comfort, just like an adult will.

well its probably not the best idea. if you absolutely have to take them outside then you gotta do what you gotta do, but if it is avoidable i would keep them inside. just think if you had a fever, you feel miserable, you get the chills, you wouldnt want to be outside, so dont put the baby through that.

Yes, as long as they are dressed for the weather and it's really not too long. The fresh air will do the baby some good.

I would say yes! I have taken mine to the doctors when thay have had a tempreture and they have told me to strip them down inside and take the coat of. You can't get temp down if they are all wrapped up.
