My daughter just cut her two bottom teeth almost together ( I found one out and two days later the other one) and she is 6 mo. I used Little Teethers Gel, honestly I don't see much help from it. I used Orajel with my first kid and it worked (I have to get some :-)). What does help my baby now is brushing her gums with that little finger brush - she holds her mouth open for it!

RE:
Hylands Teething Tablets vs Little Teethers Teething Gel and other teething questions.?
Which worked better for you? Or something else? Also what age did your baby cut their first tooth? Was it the bottom front? Did both bottom front teeth come in together?

With my son he didn't have problems with teething at all. He would just go through phases where he wouldn't eat much and shortly after he had new teeth. He cut his first ones at about 6 months and the bottom 2 came in at the same time. With my baby girl she cut her first at about the same time but they were 1 at a time on the bottom. She was a horrid teether and the ONLY thing that worked was Hyland's teething tablets! Tylenol, Motrin, nothing worked but Hyland's. With my oldest, I knew nothing, I didn't know they had anything for teething other than orajel. She cut her first 1 at 6 months and the bottom ones also came in 1 at a time.

I loved Hyland's. I found them when I had my third child...my son. Besides taking away the pain from him teething, they helped him to relax and get some much needed rest. All of my children's teeth came in different. My oldest got four at a time. That is how all her teeth came in. My second and third got them one or two at a time. It was always the two bottom front teeth that came in first, except with my first...she got the bottom two and top two at the same time...at about four months old. I would use Hyland's tablets. They are the best.

When my son was 4 or 5 months I would put the tablets on a spoon with a couple of drops of water to get the dissolving process started and put it in his mouth. He didn't seem to mind the taste. I gave him the max dose of 3 as he was a pudgy baby and less than that would not have much affect. I think it is 4 times a day or every 4 hours. I forget!! Hyland's also has a kid's kit with tablets for fevers, runny noses and coughs. They sell it at Whole Foods and works great.

my daughter didn't get her first tooth until 8 months and now she 10 months and has 1 and 1/2. LOL Not much has worked for her pain we have tried teething tablets, teething gel, cold things, cold metal, nothing has really worked she is just miserable for a couple days before t breaks through and then she is fine. We didn't need bibs for her b/c she doesn't drool. My son got both bottom teeth at the same time and he was fine with teething gel.

I loved Hyland's! My daughter wasn't often fussy from teething, but when she was they were the only thing that worked... I think she cut her first tooth around 5 months. She's 2 years 3 months exactly now.

Alright, well you sound like a concerned parent. First off, let me warn you, teething can cause fever, rash, crying, etc. So, don't freak out if it happens. My daughter is 9 months old now. She got her first one on her bottom left when she was 6 months. Now she has 6 teeth, 3 on top and 3 on bottom. You should use teething rings and put them in the frezzer. Also, you can take her burp cloth, put 4 ice cubes in it, tie it with a rubber hair band and she loved to chew on that because she could also get a little water in her mouth when it melted. It varies with each baby of when they cut teeth. The taste of the teething gel is bad, my daughter hated it. Also, get lots of bibs, i have one on my daughter 24/7. She drools like crazy and will as long as teeth are coming in. I tried the lil' teethers gel but like i said, i only used it a few times b/c she didn't like it. Try ice wraps or teething rings. Soon your baby will be crawling around putting everything in her mouth like mine is. good luck to you and your baby
