It was horrible! I was in very painful labor for over 24hrs and pushed for 4. At times I was wishing I would die or at least that they would give me a csection! My son was over 10lbs so he was hard to push out. It took so much energy and the recovery sucked too. It is horrible but you get over it quick and once it starts there is no going back! The epidural was great though. Without it, I dont know how I would have gotten through.

With my first I had an epidural. I remember begging the doctor..can I have it yet? Then when I did it stopped my labor and they gave me that Pitocin... omg when they say Pitocin you know it is coming. That stuff would make a robin squirt a watermelon..much less a woman. It is awful. It makes the contractions harder and progresses your labor faster. I don't really remember much after the epidural. The only thing is when you are numb from the epidural you can really hurt yourself because you can't feel what you are straining or how you are straining. I was amazingly sore the next day and for several days afterwards.
With the second delivery, I only had 1/2 the shot of Demerol. I was afraid to take to much. After 6 hours of hard labor the doctor decided she wasn't progressing so he wanted to do a Cesarean. He went to scrub and the RN caught the baby before he could get back. They just come on their own time. I asked.. can I still push? Cause I still wanted to push. So I did. Apparently she wasn't finished yet. Anyway, that night I was up and walking around and ready to go. Sometimes it is better to feel the pain and deal with it than pay for not feeling it later. :) GOOD LUCK!!!!

Women scream because it hurts, and screaming some how makes it feel a little better. When the head comes out it burns, and there is a lot of pressure. When they tell you not to push, that is almost impossible. The pushing is the best part. There is some relief of pressure and pain when you push with the contractions. Think of your worsed period cramps about 100 times worse. That is what contractions feel like. It is not easy...that is why it is called labor.

I've had two births and didn't scream in either of them. I think it depends on your pain threshold. The best way to describe the pushing part is it feels like you are going to do a poo and it's just the pressure of the baby's head down there for that feeling. It's just a matter of using your muscles to push properly. If you know the right way I don't think it is hard to push the baby out but it does burn and hurt a bit. I think every women feels like they are going to tear down there, but once the head is out that feeling goes away and it's pretty easy from that point onwards.

Honestly no surgeon can relatively check with accuracy whether or not you'll be able to efficaciously give a giant child or now not. Some small females give giant toddlers and a few better (and/or taller) females have main issue providing ordinary sized toddlers. No one relatively is aware of till they have got attempted and have been triumphant or failed! I am five'four" and a hundred thirty five while now not pregnant and I have efficaciously brought a 10 pound child with out medicines and a minor episiotomy. My surgeon was once now not very concerned approximately the scale of the child however no person suspected that she could be so tremendous. Any estimate of weight that the surgeon has is solely that, an estimate. They may also be as much as two kilos off both method!! 7 kilos relatively is not that tremendous of a child (my youngest was once 7 kilos - two weeks early) and I do not see why you will have any disorders. The exceptional you'll be able to do is check out exertions and spot the way it is going. You might haven't any disorders and give a healthful 6 pound child! There is usually a probability of a c-phase if the child will get caught so be all set for the probability. Don't deliver in to an induction or scheduled c-phase when you relatively desire to check out to give vaginally. An induction can develop your hazard of c-phase and a scheduled c-phase robs you of the risk to check out and give clearly. Good success to you! Big toddlers are not continuously that rough to give! - Btw, my first was once eight kilos five oz.

I am the mother of two children. I delivered vaginally for both of my children, it was difficult.
Difficult but rewarding!
I didn't use any drugs with my deliveries, you will feel every movement and it is painful. The reason why I screamed out was it a natural reaction to the feeling of pressure to push the child out. It also is a release...it is no walk in the park.
I wish you all the best, yoga and good partner was my key to a drug free health delivery.
P.S. Just remember the pain will end, the baby will be born. There is a very big light and the end of this tunnel.

You will know what to do when the time comes to tell you the truth it is the worst pain you will ever have if you do not have nothing for pain pushing out the baby will have more of a burning sensation then pain after baby is born you will forget all about it looking at that little life it was all worth it.
mom of 3 would go through it again in a heart beat.

Every woman's pain is different. Mine was indescribable! But some women say there's wasn't that bad. All my labor pain was in my back. Women moan and scream during labor because what else can you do when you're in pain. I never really understood why either until the labor pains hit me. But once I got my epidural I was in heaven.. didn't feel a thing. I think I was about 6 cm dilated when they gave it to me. But you'll get through it. Hope you have family to be there with you. It helps.

Woman scream at the end because it really really hurts!! Think about it a watermelong getting pushed through teeny tiny whole! I know I have a baby. By the way, it doesn't matter what anyone tells you, you have to experience it for yourself. Good luck and congrats.

i actually didn't find labor all that bad, and for me it only lasted 11 hours and 15 minutes from the time my water broke to the time the baby was born....my contractions started to get painful about 4 hours before he was born, but about 2 hours before he was born it became almost unbearable, and by that time it was too late for an epidural or anything.....you just have to focus on your breathing, and just think that after all this pain you will hold your baby in your arms and totally forget about the pain....and for me anyways, the pushing was alot easier than the contractions, although it does hurt when the head popped out.....i had an episiotomy, so i found the first week after the baby harder than the actual labor because i was just so sore.....congrats, and GOOD LUCK
