Cameron has eczema, a rare form of it. The Dermatologist said it runs in families. Cameron's half sister also has it, and my nephew has it as well. The doctor said that Cam will be extremely sensitive to bug bites, and dust mites. I have to vaccuum everyday. All of our sheets, blankets, clothes, towels, etc have to be 100% cotton. I have to bathe Cam with pure Dove soap, no dyes or perfumes. Our laundry detergent must be free of dyes and perfumes. The doctor said that Cam will battle with this for years, he may grow out of it... he may not. I work with a girl that has it and she's 23 years old. The doctor gave me a cream that I have to apply on Cameron twice a day.
He goes back to the Dermatologist in 3 weeks.
Thanks to everyone that tried to help me figure out what was wrong. At least now I know, and we can deal with it.

Take care & God Bless

I was wondering what kind of water should I use for my two month old, for mixing formula & just for drinking. I'm currently using distilled water, baby water ..and I'm wondering if that's sterilized enough or should I start boiling?

What do you mothers do?

My sister has a 4 month old that is pre teething. This is her 1st child and he was born addicted to crack, meth, and herione,
( He is not her biological son,but hers never the less)

He is a perfect child with a clean bill of health(SO FAR) The problem is he is PRE TEETHING. He will not take a pacifer or a chewing ring or wash cloth. HE only wants his hands. I told her to give him Advil to take the edge off but due to the fact he was born addicted to so many things she wants to try and only give pain meds such as Advil and Tylenol only as truly needed.

I recommended trying Hylands Teething Tablets. Does anyone have any other advice. Because we all know you have to try them all before you find the one that works for you.

Thank you for your help.

My daughter feeds about 5 times a day. 25 to 28 oz of formula (5oz in the morning, 5 to 6oz 3 times w/ her food and 5 to 8 oz right before bed) a day. In the afternoon she eats 2 1/2 jars of number 2 baby food.
I know every baby is different, but this is my first baby. Some people (in-laws) tell me I'm feeding her to much.

Please..... any info or suggestions welcome!!!!!

My daughter is 16 months and we found out we're about 4-5 weeks pregnant on Friday. Doing the math my daughter will be around 2 when the new baby arrives. We have a two bedroom apartment and everything will fit fine in the bedroom for the two of them but my concern is sleep disruption back and forth. For the first 2-3 months my wife will probably have the baby in with us but after that the new baby will need to move to the crib. Has anyone done this / seen it done / have any suggestions?

we were thinking about starting our daughter on a quarter of farleys mixed with baby milk, as she has recently stopped sleping through the night (she wakes 2 times now were as before she would sleep 9 hrs) and as her two bottom teeth have come through we thought maybe she was ready for weaning, any advice would be helpful as the internet search recommends 4 months, i have always bottle fed her she now has 5-6 ounces evry 4 hrs except the night........ please help!!

Currently live in a 1/2 duplex that was NOT orginally designed to be 2 suites. I am in the bottom and the neighbors on top of me. I love the location. I love how big and beautiful this place is! BUT I can hear the neighbors alarm clock. They can hear my baby on the doppler! I can hear them snore, and they don't snore loud at all! Also, I am cold down here and my heat has them opening windows in winter. My porch doors echo in their place. They have complained alot and their noise is driving my nuts, they are loud to begin with and wake me up when I try to sleep in, just from their normal conversation. They are moving on Friday. The landlord is selling the place. So what should I do? Move before baby to a soundproof apartment so I can have peace? Or chance it with the new neighbors not being mad that a newborn is waking them up 4 times a night (babies ARE louder then alarm clocks!) What would you advise?

My son has had two ear infections he is almost 7 months old. When he got his first ear infection back in Feb. and he went back for his two week check up there was still fluid in the ears. Now his infection was only in one ear but fluid was present in both at the 2 weeks check up...Now it is the end of March and he has a double ear infection. The doctor told me the fluid looks like it never left from the first one. I am very concern about this because my husband had very bad ear problems as a child. Over 10 sets of tubes and hearing loss because of fluid in his ears for soo long. At what age did your child get tubes and how many infections did your child have before he got tubes.

We are planning to use fabric reusable nappies for our baby, but we are really confused as to which is the best one to go with. We want to use a one size birth to potty nappy, and have discovered 'onelife cotton nappies,' which seem to be really good? We would love to hear from anybody who has, or is using them, and what they think about them. Also if you know of another system that is good. Many thanks.

My 7th month old daughter has been eating solid foods (oatmeal/rice ceral and sometimes veggies and fruits) for 3 months now. I have been noticing lately that her stool color is grrenish gray(today infact it was gray). I'm just a little worried. Do I have to call the pedicatrician or is this normal.

He is 5 months old and currently on breast milk with the occasional bottle of formula. I know cereal should be started at 6 months. Does he need to be able to sit up on his own before he can have solids? He can only sit with support right now. How can I help him learn to sit up?

I was told to supplement because I tried to pump and only get 2 oz. from both sides, doctor says he needs more per feeding but he seems satisfied with what he's getting and eats every 3-4 hours. He won't take bottle at all and it is very frustrating for both of us when it's tried. I am the only one with him so it's not like anyone is here to try to give him a bottle so he gets used to it and I have already tried to let him breast feed first and then give him a bottle but it still doesn't work! Please help!

I am due to start university in September this year! I'm in a steady relationship and would love to have a baby within the next 2 years, but i'm going to be at uni for the next 4 years! Me and my bf are going to get a place together whilst i'm at uni.

Would it be a problem if i had a baby whilst i'm at university?

Would you advise it or not?

Has anyone here had a baby whilst at uni or knows someone who has? How did you/they cope? any regrets?
