My hubby and I eat out alot and dont have enough dishes to run our dishwasher. I bought the Steam Bags by Medela. You can use each bag 20 times. You wash the bottle and all the parts(we use Dr. Browns) and put in a few ounces of water and then put it in the microwave for a few minutes. VOILA...sterilized bottles.

Brand new bottles and nipples need to be sterilized. Boil them in a pot of water for 5 minutes. After that soap and super hot water is sufficient for cleaning bottles and nipples. Use a steam sterilizer for the microwave and steam for 2 mins right before filling the bottle with formula. Thats what I do. But even my doctor said it's not necessary if you have a dishwasher as it gets to temperatures hot enough to kill any bacteria on it. I steam before feeding out of fear of virus' though, not bacteria.

Put all of the bottles and nipples in BOILING WATER. While the pot is still on the stove top drop the nipples and "binky's" in the boiling water. Plug the sink and (be careful) pour the water in the sink and then put the bottles and anything else u want to sanitize in that water. After a while, drain the water and clean like normal.

I used my counter top sterilizer two times and I hated using it. I ended up buying a set of the baskets for my dishwasher and running them through with the rest of the dishes. The dishwasher soaps have chlorine in them so they get sanitized.

you in basic terms might desire to sterilize in the previous the 1st use and after that washing in warm water or dishwasher works purely positive..in case you in basic terms sense the might desire to sterlize purely boil some water in a pan,do away with from range and upload in spite of you're sterilizing.
