Babies eat when they want to, and how much they want. My daughter's nickname is Piglet because she eats 24/7. She's average size, and will eat ANYthing. If a child is hungry, they're hungry. How would your in-laws handle it? Let him cry until dinner time? And my daughter was eating up to 4 jars of baby food. Once she started eating "real" food, she filled up much quicker. Don't let anyone tell you you're doing something wrong if your baby is happy and healthy.

My daughter has 2 bottles of 7oz, one in the morning and one at night. She then has 3 meals during the day
Breakfast porridge and a jar pudding
Dinner ranges but something like a pie and a jar pudding
Tea chicken and new potatoes and a yoghurt
She is just about to turn 11 months so no your baby will decide when they have had enough but i would try them on more food and cut out a bottle if you felt comfortable with this

The "rule" is between 20-32oz of formula in a day once solids have been started. And as for solids to let them eat what they want.
Personally I never do pureed food, and I think even most people that do jarred food are moving towards table food at 9 months so you might want to consider that.
Also remember the only real thing to consider is whether your baby is thriving: is her hair shiney, her skin clear, her eyes bright. Is she growing at a good pace, developing at a good pace? That's it that's the only real criteria.

It doesn't sound like too much. The only thing I question is eating 2-1/2 jars of food at one sitting. That might be a little too much in her stomach. But as long as she's not spitting up, or getting a little too much fat on her (you'll be able to tell if it switches from baby fat to just fat), you don't have to worry.

In-laws are like that!! They could drive you crazy if you let them. I could do nothing right in my mother in laws eyes. Trust your instincts, first and foremost. I am sure that your baby has seen a pediatrician and unless the dr. tells you to cut back than I would say you keep doing what you are doing. If your baby is happy, and reaching milestones, than you are being a good mommy.
Sometimes, I think that mother in laws forget that they too were once a first time mom...

Are you force feeding her? If not (and I'm sure you're not!!) then you be the judge and don't listen to anyone else!! Is she happy? THAT is the question. If she is, then you can be happy too. Ignore the know it alls. There will always be others that know more than you do. Or so they think. And it's usually in-laws!!

well my baby is approaching month 10 and she is a picky eater babies are different and i do not think that you are over feeding your baby b/c it seems she is drinkin less formula with her feeds so she is balancing out. look it may be a sign that your baby is ready to start eatin regular foods

Your baby is growing and needs those calories to continue to grow. Unlike adults infants dont eat just to eat. They eat when they are hungry. As long as you are feeding her the proper foods I would let her eat as much as she wants. She is now becoming more active, such as crawling. She is burning those calories and needs more to replace it.
