With an amnio you could know since they do chromosome tests using the anmiotic fluid, but this is reserved for medical concerns since it carries risks of miscarriage. That's the only way this early since the genitals look about the same on a boy or a girl until 16 weeks.

No because the sex organs haven't developed yet and because at 2 months or 8 weeks the baby is around 5/8ths of an inch (the size of a kidney bean) so even if there were sex organs they would be indistinguishable.

It's not that gender hasn't been determined yet, it is just that it is difficult to see.
Also, doctor's don't do ultrasounds just for the heck of it so you can see the baby's gender. They do an anatomy of the baby at 18-20 weeks because that is when the things they are looking for are more developed.
You get more accurate once you have hit 18 weeks, and even then, it is not 100%.

It is just hard to tell on an ultrasound until you are farther along and baby is bigger. Baby needs to develop those lovely things first!

no you can't know. A baby delelops his or her genitals around this age....before the development they all kind of look like boys.

it depends on how the baby is growing. Sometimes with the really good sonograms (3D) they might be able to tell but other then that probably not. good luck
