Hi, I had a baby 4 months ago. I bleed for 5 1/2 weeks like most people. Then two weeks later I got my first period. It was long like 8 days and really strong. Then two weeks later I was bleeding again very heavy, but no cramps. Then again, 2 weeks later, long hard period. When I went to my OB/ I saw the Nurse Practicioner and she was more worried about my yeast infection. Anyway, Since seeing her, I have started yet another period and there are really large blood clots. And I'm talking bleed through a super tampon in 30 min heavy. Is this too much blood? NOT to mention the cramps are so bad they feel like Contractions. Also my husband left for Iraq shortly after our baby was born so I know I can't be prego. Anything would be nice to know. I have always had heavy periods but never like this, this is crazy. Why all the bleeding, the clots, and the horrible horrible pain?

my baby girl hasnt been sucking on my breast actively. for example, when the milk rushes in, she'lll suck for about 5 min and stop. she doesnt take the other breast. so i've been supplementing with formula. she only takes about 4 oz though. is she gettin enough fluid? she is 5 months now and about 16 lbs which seem normal....

My daughter has a really bad cough and when she breaths you can her the congestion. Her doctor says that there is nothing she can do for it but there has got to be some kind of "home remedies" that will work. She is 5 months old but weights 22lbs. Thanks in advanced.

I've read that a lot of people had gotten the convertible seat but weren't happy because they wanted the infant carry seat for the baby. However, I have also read that people did not like the infant seat because the baby outgrew it so quickly and preferred the convertible seat.

So my question is which one do you prefer? AND
most importantly how did you carry your newborn-4 month old baby if you used the convertible seat and didn't have the carry seat???

Decided to start giving our 4 1/2 month old son a bit of pureed food the other day, so we made him pureed potato and pureed sweet potato, he pulled funny faces to each of them at first, but this afternoon when i gave him sweet potato he was like a baby possessed arms in the air mouth wide open dieing for the next spoon full. it made us laugh so much but made us feel so good, just wanted to share it with you.

My baby, Arthur, has been like this since he was about 5 weeks old.

If he was laying on someone's lap or being held he would crane his neck to see the TV! When he's on his changing mat on the floor he'll turn his head and stare at it and if you put him in his rocky chair he'll sit looking at it for ages!

If he's crying and I turn the TV on he'll immediately quieten down and watch it.

I don't know what to do because I've read that its reall ybad for little ones to watch TV but I just can't distract him from it. anyone else experienced this? I don't want him to be a square eyed couch potato!
