My nine month old does not eat blended foods. At this age they can eat finger foods. She feeds herself pieces of bread, bite sized fruits (messy), and baby crackers. I give her rice, cooked veggies, small pieces of meat, yogurt, pasta, basically everything that we eat, only baby bite sized.
Also, she didn't eat solids until 8months (refused) and only has two teeth.

It's pretty good. But you don't really need a Magic Bullet, you can just get a food processor. The only bad thing about the Magic Bullet is that it's really difficult to crush ice on with it. The food will be fine for your baby if you purchase the M.B.

I use the magic bullet to make puree foods for my 3.5 month old. It works great, you won’t be done in 9 seconds (it takes a bit longer to make it really smooth) but it is quite fast. Also I think that you can return it if you are not satisfied. Try it out and if you are not happy return it. We are using it to dice up fruits and vegetables, cocktails and smoothies, and recently for baby food.

It works pretty good... but my only suggestion would be to make sure you don't leave it on for more than 10-15 seconds at a time. The plastic will wear down and you won't be able to use the blade anymore. Thats what happened to me.

I think it makes GREAT baby food! I did it for my daughter when i got it and the fun part was you can make it very thin or chunky when they start to eat on their own. She LOVED it and I loved being able to give her what we were eating!!!
