It took 9 months to create that "pouch" and it could take as long as 9 months for it to go away. Your level of activity will make the difference....so if you are sitting on a computer all day or watching tv then it will take longer. Those movie stars you see on tv who have a flat tummy 2 months after having a baby....they pay big bucks to a personal trainer who encourages them to work out daily.

Yes, it just takes a little while. I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago and am just now starting to look a little like my former self and fit into some of my prepregnancy clothes. I remember how shocked I was after I had the baby at how FAT and FLABBY I still looked. I was mortified! I didn't expect some amazing transformation or anything but I thought that after I delievered my body would shrink back down pretty quickly. Take care of yourself, drink lots of clear fluids, eat a reasonably balanced diet, and do a few crunches a day when you start feeling up to it and you'll start seeing results pretty quickly. Breastfeeding also helps you lose burn calories and lose weight faster. Just give yourself time and be realistic. Your body just went through an amazing transformation over the last 9 months. It took that long to get where you are now so give yourself the same amount of time to get back.

Dont you worry about that little pouch, just think that is w here your little one lived for 9 months it wont just go down overnight! You will get back into shape just try to take care of yourself and maybe a few sit ups every night will help speed up the time and get those muscles back into shape!

Brace yourself-yes it will! :) You've been through a very strenuous mind-body experience, so don't expect to slip into your pre-pregnancy clothes overnight or in a few days. It takes time for everything to go back to where it was. But it will happen.
I never thought I'd lose mine and by 5 months I was back in regular shorts again. Going from size 18-6 was no easy job.
Diet (what you eat, not go on one) and moderate exercise/activity will help get rid of the "kangaroo" look.
What worked for me was drinking more fluids, being aware of what I was eating (no more baked goods as energy supplements), yoga (video/DVD at home) and walking.

I actually have had 2 C-sections and had an similar issue. It seems that I actually have what's termed "diastasis". it is a separation of your the front abdomen muscular tissues that often heals for most mom's, yet would not in some. that ought to reason the tummy pooch. i purchased a e book suggested as "the thanks to Lose Your Mummy Tummy", and it has fairly tremendous advice so some distance as what workouts to do to resolve this. that is solid for sparkling moms to boot as moms who've older children and nonetheless have the pooch. Mine hasn't lengthy gone away thoroughly yet, besides the undeniable fact that the concepts in the e book have helped lots and are strengthening the muscular tissues. i'm also nonetheless engaged on weight-loss (i'm 5 months submit partum and nonetheless have more beneficial weight around the middle). regrettably, that is basically harder for mom's who've had C-sections because you've that incision in the bikini area, alongside with scar tissue, and the floor evidently needs to pooch over it. solid success! And keep in suggestions, your infant is carefully properly worth any replaced your body had to flow through. :)

it is not a pouch, it's stretched skin it will take time, it took nine months to stretch it out, it will take about 4 or 5 for it to get back unless you are over 35 then it will take 5 or 6,

It might and it might not. All women gain weight in different ways and they all lose it in their own ways. I say, love your momma belly and don't worry about it.
I happen to be 5'2" and only weigh 120 lbs but after 6 children, I definatly have a momma pooch. I look about 2 months pregnant all the time. Wear it proud!

Dont worry. It will go away. its good to use something tight on your stomach. the bella band is wat i use on my stomach. it helps the muscle go back. U can find it on this website. http://store.babycenter.com/category/maternity/clothing+-+lingerie/hosiery+-+supports.do
Just use it under your clothes everyday. ofcourse, some exercise might help too. core exercises will help too. jus make sure its 4 wks after a vaginal birth, and 6 wks after a c section. walking is also a great exercise. even 30 minutes a day will help you lose weight. jus dont over do it. enjoy your baby, and good luck.
