My daughter was breast fed for 7 weeks then i had to go back to work and we swithced to formula. She did the same thing and it was the formula it was to much iron. So I talked to my doctor and he told me to switch from enfamil to good start. We have not had any problems since. And to help the baby have a bm take half and half of prune juice and water.

Take him to his doctor, And ask if you can give him some prunes (they have a prune baby food) this will make his BM softer and easier to pass. I had that same problem when my in laws gave my 4 month old gravy(I know why would they do that!) and that's what I gave him. My doctor said if that didn't work then I would have to give him an enema and I WAS NOT looking forward to that!

how old is he? if he's into solid foods now, try give him ripe papaya and never banana and apple. it not yet, better increase his water intake.
