Uhhhh duh not adult mylanta! I saw it at walgreens infant mylanta and read about it on webMD i am only asking b/c the doc office is closed on weekend if you don't know for sure then i don't need advice rather than your criticism. Who is that stupid that they would give an infant adult medication?!

Yes.

I had to give my baby adult Mylanta Supreme when she was having really bad times with her reflux. I just have her a little squirt. The adult does is a little cupful. I gave her about 1ml......it really helped her.

Don't feel bad about the snotty replies.........people are ignorant. Unless they have had a baby with reflux, they have NO idea how miserable that baby can be......it is worse than colic. The acid burns so bad and you can see them bring up the acid and just scream......it is horrible.

we used to give mine crushed up tums and Mylanta all the time when she needed it. And I told the doc that we did. she said that was okay, but she put her on Prevacid 7.5 mg every day. it works great. But I still give her the tums or mylanta if she is having a really bad day......which is not too often with the Prevacid.

My bub has reflux too. And like one of the other mother's said on here, it is worse than colic. I don't care what anyone says. My baby is on 1 mg baby zantac 2 x's a day. it is a prescription. She is a different baby now. No more screaming. I know i'm not answering your question about the Mylanta, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this and I feel your pain w/your bub. All i can say is it gets better. As their bodies mature, it gets better. And people on here tend to get a little nutty depending on how you word your questions. You have to be really careful and explain everything to a "T" when asking and explaining your questions. I learned that. So, that is why people started trippin on you until you went back and explained your question. Now everyone understands. Hope you get the answers you need. Good luck, and God bless you.

NO!!

How old is the child? Most products are not recommend for those under 2yrs old for a reason. Ask his Dr.

Don't seek medical advice for your child on here!

If you mean Mylanta Gas Drops, then yes.

Try to include it immediately after the feeding, if possible.

I don't think little babies should be taking adult medications, you should consult the pediatrician before you administer any meds to an infant.

i don't know i think as a mother to 5 i would go with your instincts about how bad her symptoms are you don't want to over medicate yet you don't want her to suffer, go with your gut
