as hard as it seems try to relax. The more tense you are the more tense bub will be. Unless you have experience driving with a screaming child I wouldn't do it as it can be quite distracting. Try giving the baby a warm bath or if you don't have a bath hop into the shower with baby and hold her close. They're probably missing mum nothing you have done. Keep an eye on temp. Just try to keep environment calm, if it's dark put some quiet music on and rock baby. Or if she's left you a pram/pusher put bub in that and just rock back and forth. GOOD LUCK

Her face is just red from all the crying, but you may want to feel her forehead to see if she may have a fever. Try rocking her, walking around holding her. If your old enough and have a license and car then go for a drive around the block to calm her down. Some children also like 'white noise' you can run the vacuum, some babies love it others hate, if she crys worse then she doesn't like it. How about a bath. Or just trying playing with the baby on the floor. Good luck. It's not like this all the time, there are wonderful parts to being a parent, no need to wait til 25 lol.

Sounds like colic. Gripe water? Cocyntal homeopathic drops are incredible! But I bet you don't have any of those to hand.
Rub baby's tummy, do the bicycling exercises, walk and sing, hum and shh noises are are soothing. If you've already tried the warm bath, checked the diaper and the baby isn't hungry, too hot or too cold there's not much left to do. Have you a worn T shirt belonging to the Mom? The baby might like to smell it's Momma. Give some baby Tylenol if baby feels warm to touch. She may be teething too. You can rub her gums with your clean finger or let her suck on a cold cloth or teether. Pacifier? Put that in the freezer for a while. OK, that's all I have. Good Luck.

Make sure the baby is comfortable. Make sure that there are no clothes that are uncomfortable and check toes and fingers to make sure that nothing is causing the baby pain. If not, just rock and make a Shhh sound in the babies ear. Walk around with the baby. It is probably tired and ready to sleep and some babies like to fight their sleep and will scream their lungs out until they pass out. It can be harder for the baby to sleep since it might be used to its mothers smell. So get a cloth or t-shirt that smells like mom and put it by the baby while you try to rock it to sleep. If they have a swing, try the baby in it, it always knocked my daughter out at that age, even when she wasn't tired. If the baby uses a pacifier give it to the baby. If things are that bad and the baby doesn't stop crying, you should call the baby's parents and ask them to come home. I know that you don't want to, but it may be for the best. Good Luck.

Maybe maybe maybe! It is difficult for anyone to answer the question without knowing all the details. For a start why not call the parents and aske them. It's their child and they would have at least some idea of what might be wrong.

I suggest holding the child upright at your shoulder and rubbing and patting like burping and walking the child around. But primarily I would be calling it's parents.
Taking the child out in a car is unwise. If any thing happens to the child while in the car you will be sued. Stay in the house and never take anyones child out in your car unless they ask.

The baby is prolly teething. give it some teething tablets, a teething ring after you have put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes, or a clean cold wash cloth for it to suck on. Another thing i do, trying to calm the baby down is rocking and i use my finger and rub up and down the bridge of the nose. It usually works. Hope this is some help

maybe the baby is just fussy-
If they have a security blanket or pacifier try that
hold the baby up right and walk around
hold the baby upright facing outward and walk
Take baby on a car drive(assuming you have a carseat)
give a bath, then rub with lotion(this will relax them)
try to divert attention, "Oh, look _____ ! What is this a picture of, or whats this bears name"

Hold the baby, and keep singing songs and burping the baby. If it gets worse and the babies face is really red and "stuff" then call the parents, I"m sure they would want to know. Good luck.

Baby may have trapped gas if the face is all red. Try laying the baby on his back and moving the baby's legs like he is bicycling. Once you get the enormout toot, not only will he stop, he might just smile at you.

Try changing positions. Like try craddling him in your arms and patting his bottom while you walk around (pace) the house. Also, try holding him over your shoulder and patting his bottom as you pace around the house. Try wispering "sssshhh" in his ear like you would hear in a seashell. Do it until you feel like a seashell ;0P That always calmed my son down.

Try bicycling his legs at his belly. If it's gas that'll help push it out.

If you just have the carseat strap him in and swing him gently. Usually this will get them calmed down.

Could be he's just tired and trying to sleep. But, isn't used to your surrounding so he's just off. Try taking him into your bedroom and laying with him on the bed. Or, if your friend brought a bassinett or play yard try that. Stay close until he gets used to your surroundings.
