I have a 3 month old daughter. I will be taking her from FL to NH by plane on the 22nd of March. So she will be 4 months by then. What do you think would make the trip easier? The flights aren't that long, I have one stop. Also, I am bringing her to suprise my mom for her Birthday, she has no idea we are coming. What do you think a good suprise would be? Any ideas? I mean it is going to be a suprise that I am coming but what about anything else? She won't have seen my mom in 3 months, any idea how to ease the transition to make her not so scared of my mom? She does have a touch of stranger anxiety?

my daughter is 2 weeks old- and usually for 2 of her 'sleep times' during the day/night she will sleep for 5 or 6 hours. Other sleeping times she will sleep for 2 or 3 hours and then wake to eat. She has at least 3 bowel movements a day and has plenty of wet diapers. I tend to follow the rule of 'your baby will let you know when they are hungry'.. instead of the rule of 'wake your baby every 2 or 3 hours to eat'...
What do you all go by? Anyone else's newborns sleep that long?
(It's been almost 7 years since my last daughter was born- so I can't even remember what her sleep patterns were like)

I was wondering how you moms with larger sized breasts manage breastfeeding in public (discreetly) when you have to hold your breast all the time to keep it from pulling out of babies mouth. Is there anything you can do to not have to hold your breast but still make sure enough stays in the babies mouth (my arm gets tired!)?

My cousin has a 3 year old, she is 100% potty trained during the day but she can't get her to stop peeing the bed at night. She puts pull ups on her as she still pees through the night. Last night she had no pull ups and she peed twice in the night, she even reminded her to not pee the bed when she put her down but she did. Any advice on how to break this. She was going to wake her up during the night but I was told thats not good, doesn't teach them to hold their pee all night long, and was proven true when 2 of my relatives kids were waking up twice a night to go pee and they are now 10 and 12 and still pee the bed once in a while. So any advice on how to get her to stop peeing at night? All opinions are appreciated.

She is now 6 weeks old and was born at 36 weeks, I have soley breastfed until this week when I have started giving her 2/3 formula feed to give me a break, but she is still hungry. She gulps both breast and bottle so fast she can hardly breath then she throws it up and then cries for more. I have tried to make her wait and I have changed teats on the bottles. Im now thinking this could be some sort of illness or medical problem???

My 19 month old has had the runs for three days now about 3 - 4 times per day. I'm not sure what is causing it as I haven't been giving her anything spicy or greasy to eat. Her bottom is very sore and she kicks and screams even before she goes onto her changing table as she doesn't want me to wipe her. I've been giving her Pedialte which doesn't seem to be helping. She doesn't seem or act sick....no fever and no fussiness. Any suggestions??

My son is three months old. His dad just left yesterday, to go to a school for training for 9 weeks. Then he will be back for one week, and after that he will be gone for two weeks at a time with every other weekend off. (He's driving for a trucking company)

He was wondering, is the baby going to forget him? What can I do while he is gone to help him remember? So far, we've planned on putting the phone on speaker every time we talk to each other so baby can hear his dad's voice. Is he too young to appreciate pictures, say right above his crib? Or in front of his swing?

And what about when dad comes home? How does that go? If he forgets, will he remember??

We're a little stressed and worried, but at this point in time, this job is going to take us up from being in financial distress, so please no suggestions about him quitting this job.

I am on baby one. I have heard that bumpers and comforters cause SIDS... what can you safely use in a crib? What should I register for? Just crib sheets?

Just the other day I noticed small red spots around his left ear and cheek. His ear has had a clear and then milky looking discharge.
His hands have small pussy bumps on his fingers as well.
I'm taking him to the doctor soon, but does anyone have any idea at all what this might be?

My husband and I live in central AZ, and if anyone knows it gets REALLY hot here, well anyway, we are having the baby in May, I am a little nervous because I am afraid it's way too hot for the baby, it really feels like you are in a oven and you can't go anywhere. Has anyone had their baby in the summer where it is really hot? What kind of clothes should I let the baby wear, things like onesies? It's too hot to do anything like go out for a walk, I don't want to be trapped in the house all the time, you have to use air condition for everything.

I'm looking for a double stroller (twin stroller.) Is it better to have the twins side by side or one in front and one in back? I'm leaning towards the side-by-side arrangement... which is better? Also, if there are any specific brands/models you like, please tell me!

My daughter is 4 1/2 months old. She has just started teething. Today I got a call from her daycare (i know it sucks) saying she has not been feeding well. She has only had about 5 ounce and she has been there for 8 hours. She had 4 ounces before she went to daycare and some cereal. She usually has about 17-20 ounces of formula at daycare. I know that babies have their "off" days, my question is how long should I let this go. If she continues this at home, etc. I am a first time mother so I tend to "freak out". She has been happy and playing no fever or anything.

Hello, I hope everyone is doing good today. I am 8 weeks pregnant and I have already started thinking about things Im going to need for my first new born child. I have alot of people saying to me dont think about it until you are at least 4 months because I could have a miscarriage. But I dont want to think that I could miscarry. I just want to think happy thoughts, enjoy my pregnancy and stay calm and happy. But anywho I was thinking about starting to save up on somethings..Mostly diapers. so with that being said mommies how many diapers per month do you think ill need. From newborn to a year I know there is not way to tell exacty but just roughly how did you and your little blessing go thru diapers at there ages.
