Yeah, that's normal... most babies are only comfortable with their parents unless they are constantly around new people.

I have 3 kids who are now adults. This is very normal, and because of the drama of the accident she might still be feeling insecured from all the activities of that day. Give her some time and she will calm down. It will be a bit hard on you and your mom but she will come around, with a little patient and time it will be fine.

yes this is very normal she's afraid to loose you. i know it sounds silly but it's true she can sense these things. you said you were in a car accident..... well that's very scary for anyone trust me no matter what age.... my daughter was 16 months old when i had my son and i had to go into immediate surgery after i had him and it was around her nap time and she hadn't even been to see me yet and her grandma said she woke up from her nap yelling for me and she's never done this before..... she sensed something was wrong with mommy and wanted me... when she came to visit she wouldn't let me go......

This is completely normal. Even my very outgoing 9 month old usually only wants me and sometimes her dad to hold her.

yes. sometimes babies go through phases of separation anxiety, this is completely normal, and she will grow out of it eventually. just remember to be patient with her!
