front and backs are ALWAYS easier with kids. They maneuver more easily, and fit in smaller spaces, something that doesnt sound like a big deal... until you're trying to walk through a store, or busy side walk.

I have the single jogging style of this stroller. you can put newborns in it, the straps and head gear support them safely. The seats come out and turn around, so they both can face you, this is a HUUUUUGE thing, it makes life SO much easier. Mine also has the bar that snaps in where the seats go to hold a car seat, I think this one has the same option. PRICELESS. These are excellent strollers, target had the one I bought, and all the reviews were five star.

There are basically 3 options - 1. the tandem travel system, like the Graco Duoglider, 2. the tandem double snap n go, and 3. the side by sides.
I love the side by sides. They are skinny enough to fit through doorways and lightweight and easy to maneuver. I have the Peg Perego Twin Aria and love it.
I didn't want a tandem travel system because I hate pushing a long train in front of me and I think they are heavy and large. So, opted against the Graco Duoglider.
However, I wanted the convenience of being able to keep my small babies in their infant carriers when I went out so I also have the double snap n go. We'll switch to using the side by side exclusively when they outgrow their carriers but the snap n go is priceless for now just for the convenience of keeping them in their seats.

I have the single of this stroller, but have friends who've had the double. I have never heard a bad word about it (though I know in some larger cities people say the narrower the better).
This stroller has an adjustalbe handle bar, high weight limit, front tire with swivel or locked options, fully reclining seats, and more. Check it out.

I've had 2 front/back and they were easier to get around stores but the side by side that i have now is my favotire. It steers much better.
The front/back ones get hard to steer as they get older/bigger. I used one with my 2 year old and a little girl I babysat at the zoo and it was hard to steer.
I got anothet front/back to use with my newborn and 3 year old--again--bad steering
The side by side I use now I LOVE My 3 year old can see the 3 motnh old and it steers well.

one in front and one in the back, the side by side strollers just a bit more difficult to ummm fit any where, i am a twin and my mum is next to me telling me what the best one is, as she had a side by side stroller for me and my sister and found it hard...

Both have their advantages and disadvantages
Side by side is better for twins as they can both fully recline without squashing the other, and they can interact with each other
Tandems are easier to get in and out of shops and are easier to steer.

Front and back is a little easier to negotiate cluttered asiles. I'm sure some people will disagree with me but I personally HATE those side by side strollers.I hated them before I had my boys and still hate them now, they're so bulky.

Side by side is better in all respects except for size. They are hard to manuever in stores. But they are more comfortable for the kids and less hassle for you when one tries to climb over to be with the other one.

I used a front and back one with my twins - they are easier to steer through stores.

I only have one child, but front and back would be easier. Side by side is just too wide. I think Graco duoglider would be a good choice.
