My son doesn't seem to want to latch on. He's hungry and will suck on the bottle for a few moments and then spit it out and scream. We will repeat this process for what seems like hours before he gets the whole bottle. He doesn't always do this like half the time sometimes he spends 5 min trying to latch thrn eats fine. other times theres no poroblem at all. He's not colic. It's not his formula he's on lactose milk free. I've tried several different nipple shapes textures, he seems to like one for a while then its not good enough ne more. just wondering if ne one has had any experiences with this kindof thing any advice or ideas would help.

My son is 4 and a half months old. He had colic up until well i dont know if he still has it. I am confused as if he might be spoiled from the colic. He cries when you do not pay any attention to him. He wants us to entertain him all the time and when you leave him he starts crying! I know nothing is wrong with him because when you turn elmo on he smiles and giggles. How do I break this? I am going absolutely insane! When he cries my fiance seems to think to put him in his crib and let him for for 30 minutes or more. But i want to carry him around just so he stops crying. He seems to think that i am spoiling him and to let him cry! UGHHH!

She's 10 months old. Her usual bedtime is anywhere between 7 and 8:30 pm. I don't have problems with her (usually), I give her a big bottle of warm formula, we cuddle, I rock her a little bit, I put her in her crib, turn on her musical "aquarium" and give her her bunny... and she'll go to sleep byherself.
Now, I've noticed that if we go out in the afternoon, and come back about 30 min. before her bedtime, even if I do the same routine, she won't go to sleep. Is this because she's got an "adrenaline rush"? In other words, because the day was different and there was more action, she won't go to sleep?
How do I get her to go to sleep tonight? We went out and came back at 7:45, I did everything we do each night, and she just wails when I put her in her crib... Right now my husband is watching her, but I don't want her to go to sleep too late...
What can I do, and how do I prevent this from happening again?

Thanks!

My 7-month-old son got his bottom central incisors just before he was 5 months old. I am waiting for his top central incisors, but I have just discovered that his top, right lateral incisor has appeared first. No top central incisors yet. Should I be concerned?

Does anyone else get really fed up being told how awesome breastfeeding is? I've been breastfeeding for nearly 8 weeks now and after suffering cracked, blistered, bleeding nipples and just now recovering from mastitis I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I do not enjoy breastfeeding one little bit. I have made the decision to wean my daughter onto formula for these reasons and I get really fed up with being made to feel like a bad mother because of it. I also feel uncomfortable with breastfeeding in front of other people. I realise that it is a perfectly natural thing to do and I have no problems with mothers who choose to breastfeed in public - I just don't feel comfortable whipping my breasts out in front of people. Does anybody else feel pressured into breastfeeding or am I really a bad mother for choosing to wean my baby onto formula? Honest answers please!
