How does the name Chloe sound? Is it pronunced as "Clio" or "Clio - Ee"?? Is the former the American way of pronunciation and the latter the UK way?

If you're interested in researching baby names for your new baby why don't you go to www.babynames.com, or several other sites that do the same thing. There are hundreds and hundreds of names to choose from and they give you the pronunciation too.

I like the name Chloe, and have never heard it pronounced any way but "Clo-ee", regardless of country (Chloe on "Smallville" for instance, her named is pronounced the same way as here in Australia).

It's a cute name, but very popular at the moment, for the past few years it jas usually been in the top ten list of names (which slightly varies from country to country). If that doesn't bother you, go for it :-)

I love that name. Here in the U.S. we pronounce it Klo-ee. I'm not sure about the UK pronunciation. Chloe and Phoebe are two of my favorite names for girls. All the best!

Names are a matter of how you feel about them. Although I think that spelling will be pronounced 'clo-ee' by others. My neice named her daughter Natiyah (naughty-a) and I HATE that - I think it is dooming her before she has time to make a good name for herself. So I think you need to think of what nick names could be used on her before you stick a name on her. Kids will be cruel whenever they see the chance!
She was going to name her Regan... much better.
Congrats on the new addition!

People arn't gonna know that her name is "Clio" if you spell it Chloe, she will be forever correcting everyone, and how annoying if will be for her, if you want to call her that then spell it C-l-i-o. But personally I don't like that name it's kinda plain and boring. How about Odessa it's unusuall and it's easy to say, you spell it the same way as you say it.

What's wrong with Sally or Betsy. Maybe Jane would be nice. I think there are too many fanciful names about these days.

Chloe is the name of a perfume and a Greek minor goddess

My best friend's niece is named "Chloe", and it is pronounced "CLO-EE". (We are in the U.S.) I actually like the name, as it is a classic name (we named our daughter "Audrey"), and we like the classic names.
