If the baby gets an infection, it will be a lot harder on a little child. I would say that two months is about right. My mother got her's pierced when she was 8 years old. I got mine when I was 4 years old. And both of my sisters got it at 2 years.
My baby cousin got hers pierced at 4 months, and she's doing fine.
Best of luck!

My pediatrician recommended waiting until after my daughter had 2 sets of shots. So, I waited until she was 5 months old.
I researched for places with the most sterile process and chose the Piercing Pagoda.
She's 2 years old now, and they healed perfectly and I've never had a problem with her bothering them.

Well as a personal choice I wouldn't pierce my girls ears til she is 4, I have a fear she'll try to eat her earrings. But at a "well baby appointment" this lady had her 3 month old's ears pierced. I'm not sure though. If you do it, stick to earrings made of surgical steel.

My daugther had her ears peirced when she was 3 months old, and she is 6 months now and doesn't even bother with them. Once they have their second set of needles, they are good to get them peirced. You can buy a product called Elma at the pharmacy, it numbs the ear lobe so they don't feel any pain. We used it on my daugther and she didn't even cry.

Most professional places wont allow you to pierce your baby's ears until he/she is 4 months. There is a reason for this! So... go with it.. Wait til 4 months, then get it done. Best places to go are jewelry stores in the mall.

I certainly have 2 females and that i desperate to not pierce their ears. i'm paranoid that something will take place and that they are going to get yanked out of their ears or get contaminated. i'll attend till they ask ... they are going to in all probability prefer another physique area peirced and that i will have the skill to hold that off by skill of allowing them to get their ears completed.

I think that is too young personally, I would be afraid that a baby would rip them out or something, I got my first piercings when I was like 7 and I was able to handle it and take care of them on my own. Ultimately, Its up to you and your daughter, but for me it would be so unnessisary for a baby to have piercings.
