I have a 3 month old daughter. I will be taking her from FL to NH by plane on the 22nd of March. So she will be 4 months by then. What do you think would make the trip easier? The flights aren't that long, I have one stop. Also, I am bringing her to suprise my mom for her Birthday, she has no idea we are coming. What do you think a good suprise would be? Any ideas? I mean it is going to be a suprise that I am coming but what about anything else? She won't have seen my mom in 3 months, any idea how to ease the transition to make her not so scared of my mom? She does have a touch of stranger anxiety?

kids that age are easy to travel with! Just bring some things to keep her entertained and some snacks- also when they are that young bring a pacifier or bottle or plan to nurse her during the flight- this will help with pressure so her ears don't pop.

I think bringing her granddaughter to see her is a wonderful surprise and no need for anything else. As far as making traveling easier make sure you bring a pacifier to help with her ears during the flight. Also make sure you have plenty of formula just in case there are any layovers and 2 changes of clothes. As far as anxiety your daughter will just have to get use to your mom which shouldn't take too long.

I agree-either nurse, bottle or pacifier for the flights. Remember to wear slip-on shoes so you don't have to try and juggle to take your shoes off at security. Pack lots of baby wipes, they will clean up almost anything. Consider combining your purse and diaper bag to minimize the number of things you have to carry. If you are traveling with someone have them preboard with luggage, etc. You wait with your daughter until final boarding is called to get on the plane. The less time spent in that confined space the better. Consider having some pictures of your daughter taken and framed for your mom. Show lots of pictures of you mom to your daughter for facial recognition. If you take your carseat and stroller and have not bought a ticket for your daughter check the carseat at check-in and gate check the stroller. That way it's the last thing on the plane and the first thing off so it's waiting at the gate on the other side.

Show your daughter pictures of ypour Mom every day before the trip. Take as little as possible. Don't forget your Mom probably has laundry machine. So that will help with packing. Take some prepared bottles on the plane with you and try to only take a carry-on.
Depending on the length of your stay just gradually let your daughter discover Grandma. And I think she'll adjust fine.
