We have a local charity who normally accept this kind of thing but they are currently fully stocked. The stuff is all in good nick and includes a high chair, baby walker, travel cot, potty, etc. I don't want to take it to the tip if it can go to a good home.

So it'll make 182 oz of formula. When the baby is taking 8 oz bottles, that will be about 23 bottles from that can. So if I feed every 3 hours or so that's 6-8 bottles a day. The can will last 3-4 days! Is that all! Does this sound accurate to you experienced moms? I'm just doing the math of forumula vs breast milk (buying an expensive pump).

My baby always cries in the car. She's 10 months old. I give her teddy bears and I made sure she is comfy in her seat. She is always changed and fed when we go in the car. We always have a long ride and she isnt happy with that. What can I do?

I plan on going all breast for the first month or so, but want to get a pump to help with my milk production and to save milk for other people to feed my baby. I can either rent one from the hospital which will be $60 for first two months, then $30/month after that, buy the Medela New Pump In Style Original Breast Pump
for 249.99 or Avent ISIS iQ UNO Complete Breast Pump
for 199.99. Which option is best? Or do you know of another pump that is better? I know breastfeeding is difficult, but I want to do it as long as possible. If I rent for 3 months, that's already $150!!!

My daughter is just over 5 mths old, from month two she has slept for 7-9 hours at night if left to sleep. Just last week she was unwell and sleeping on and off for a couple hours at a time day and night. Now that she is well again her sleeping pattern is all back to front, she sleeps for 8 or so hours during the day until about 11 then wakes and stays awake for most of the night till around 6am when she has a nap for a couple oh hours.
Please help!!! We need to get her back to sleeping at night, but so far, trying to keep her awake during the day doesnt work very well she just gets cranky and sleeps when we´re not looking!! :) Any suggestions very welcome.

I have a 9 week old baby boy. I have tried Avent, Dr. Brown's and Playtex bottles. All of the nipples seem to be the same shape and are silicone, but he makes a mess every time he eats. He seems to get more on himself than in his mouth. I do not breast feed, so I soley rely on having a good bottle/nipple combination. Also...he will eat sort of OK for the first few ounces, then he needs to burp. After he burps and takes the bottle back, he acts like he's drowning with his arms in the air and seems to gasp. When I take the bottle out of his mouth, he gets mad and cries for me to put it back in. I use the slow flow nipples. I don't understand why he would suck ok(except for the messyness) and then act like he's drowning? Please help. If anyone has a bottle/nipple suggestion that he may get a better seal on, I would appreciate it!

I have tried bottles and sippy-cups. He will only take a little juice from a cup. He eats solids well. I'm worried!

My baby takes her bottle and an hour later she will be crying for more food. I do not want to keep giving in to her as she will take too much milk and get fat. I do not like the idea of giving her a dummy. What can I do when she starts crying for food, when I know she can't really be hungry?

When it come to naming your baby or child after they are born..I never stuck to Tradition and the reason for this..there always fighting on who should have the family name. It's easyer if you give your child a name you and your hubby like..not what your family see and feels fit.
You be the judge and deside,so what do you think

My daughter was given special formula milk when she left hospital after she was born, I sorted out the cupboards and found two huge tins of this, in date and unopened. She is on normal cow's milk now so doesn't need it any more. I have asked the chemist and they won't take them back, it just seems wrong to throw them in the bin. I heard a long time ago about prescriptions being taken back by some chemists to send to 3rd world countries - does anyone know if this still exists?

I'm not asking this because I want to know really. I have a 6 month old daughter, a dog and two cats to look after + a husband who thinks all I do all day is sit around and do nothing.
Anyone here who can explain to him how much work a baby is???
He doesn't seem to know that I have gone from being Carmen to being Charlotte's mum!
