Breast fed babies usually pass stools once in five-six days. Its normal. Just make sure she is urinating enough and has several wet diapers a day. If she passes stools after 5-6 days is it hard or normal consistency? If normal then I dont think you need to worry.
Your diet also affects her. So avoid hot, spicy food and only meat. Eat lots of vegetables also along with meat so the benefits flow on into the milk and help the baby.

When I was worried about my son I called my Drs. nurse and she told me that the absence of a stool isn't constipation. Instead, constipation is when the stools are hard, small and round. It sounds like your daughter is either not getting enough milk(but if she has wet diapers then that probably isn't it) or that's just how she's going to be for a while until her little digestive system develops more. You could give her a little water and stimulate her bowels by massaging her tummy. If you feel comfortable, the nurse also told me to use a rectal thermometer to stimulate the area too....but I chickened out with that! If you're really concerned, then call your Dr. but a lot of infants aren't "regular" b/c of their underdeveloped systems. My son was like this and around 1 month everything was working like clockwork! Good luck!

Hi, most breastfeed babies dont usually go every day.
My daughter used to go just a few times a week.
My son the the other hand is now 8 mths old and breastfeed and goes every other day!
He was consipated and i took him to the docs who gave him ome liquid to help loosen his bowels!
He still to this day has very hard stools but doesnt bleed only just a little bit red that i control by using cream.
I have weaned my son at 4 months and since then hestarted tohave hard stools so i have had to change his diet slightly!
I used prune juice with cooled boiled water at 4 months but im not sure for your 2 month.
Phone your health visitor today and see what she suggests
Good luckx

Constipation of a 2 month old child is due to the mother's eating habits. If the mother eats something that causes constipation, then it affects the baby (the effect passes on to the baby through the mother's milk).

If your baby is on breast feed then you have to change your diet . You must take spinach, prune juice, or you can take figs (fresh or dried).
You must take green vegetables and see that you are not constipated.
It is advisable not to give the child any other thing when you are breastfeeding and the child is only 2 months.

You need to take her in to her pediatrician right away. I have nursed 2 babies, and am expecting my 3rd. Your baby may not be getting enough milk from you. Please take her immediately. It could be that, or it could be something you are eating that is causing this, among many other possibilities. It is not normal for a breastfed baby to have a BM only once in 5 days. There is definitely something wrong, and you need to have her checked out immediately.

Do not experiment with anything on your baby. Go to the Chemist and describe your problem and they will advice you on the right relexer for babies. Its normal in your case, but get the professional advice.
All the best.
