She has just started to have another symptom of coughing the stuff up. No runny nose or fever just the coughing. She has had this since she was born and it doesn't seem to get any better. We put her under a humidifier and we put vicks baby rub on her chest but it doesn't do much good. Has anybody else out there had expierience with this? Her doctor has mentioned asthma. What do you think?

I have 6 months old baby daughter, and I would like to know whether you use boiled tap water (or filtered tap water) or bottled water for your baby. So far, my husband and I have decided to use bottled water for our baby. Thanks!

As of right now, my daughter has three meals each day. She gets breakfast around 7am, lunch around noon, and dinner around 5. She eats all table food or Gerber Graduates if we are eating something not appropirate for a baby. She gets her drinks (water, diluted juice, or milk) from sippy cups with her meals and does great.
She gets two 8oz bottles during the day as snacks. one around 10 and the other around 2:30. Then she has an 8oz bottle at 7:30pm and goes to bed at 8.
My question is how exactly do I cut back on bottles from here? Her doc already allows her to have whole milk, which she usually just has with dinner. So do I eliminate one bottle completley and replace it with a snack/milk sippy? Or cut both bottles down to 4oz and give small snacks with each? And when should her daytime bottles be replaced with sippy cups?
I am okay with her night bottle and have decided that will be the last to go, but what about the others?

A lot of my friends' doctors told them to switch to instant formula from the powder because if you mixed the powder form incoreectly (too thick or two thin) it can cause babies to have trouble with their bowel movements. Regardless of the price or how each works out for your usage, which do you perfer with it being safer on the baby's stomach?

My baby started using a pacifier when she was 4 months old. Now she is 11 months old. I know that if its used for a long time then it will mess up the teeth. But what about when they use it when they are under 1. Does it still have any effects? Another bad thing that ive done that i didnt know about was that i SHOULDN'T leave the pacifier in her mouth while she sleeps. usually when she takes naps i jus let her leave it in her mouth. Sometimes ut stays on for 30 min. I feel bad that i didnt know. Will it make her baby teeth grow out Bad?

Ever since my baby started teething, she wakes up like every 2 hours of the night. She use to sleep through the night. Now everytime she waked up she wont go back to sleep unless i give her a bottle to drink. She wont even take her pacifier. Only A bottle will make her fall asleep. So now shes already in the bad habit of needing a bottle to sleep. What do i do to break her off it? Will this make her teeth go bad?

There is chicken pox going round my daughter's nursery. She's three and her brother is 11 weeks old. Tonight she has a temperature but no spots that I can see. Do you think this might be the start of chicken pox?? Any one had a baby as young as 2 1/2 months with it?

Where can I buy a cheap raincover for my graco duo lx1 tandem pram? I have searched on ebay/mothercare/babies r us etc with no luck. The problem is that the front seat of the pram has no hood, and all the raincovers I have come across have hoods, so the raincover i need has to have a frame to stay supported, I need it as soon as possible, any one have any other suggestions?

My girl was born 7lbs. 3z she was eating 8 oz every 2 hours at 6weeks so at 8weeks we were advised by pedi to put a little rice in bottle because clearly she wasnt full from the formula. She was eating atotal of 96oz in 24 hours which was way to much. She is now 3 months old and weighs about 15lbs. she eats a 6oz bottle 6 times within a 24 hour period which is 36 ounces plus at night she gets three teaspoons of rice in the bottle and for breakfast she eats about 2 to 3 teaspoonsful of rice on a spoon plus her bottle. she is in size 2 diapers cause her legs are so fat but she just doesnt seem full she always wants more. we dont see the doctor till her four month next month. she is moving into the 6-9 month clothes. she was 19lbs at birth 22lbs at 2 month uncertain now.Is she too fat?

Did you make the decision to circumcise or not circumcise him prior to the birth, or until when the doctor asked. What was your ultimate decision? Why did you make the decision? My husband and I are having a boy in 4 weeks and we have not decided what to do about this yet. We are thinking about leaving him intact.

I have a 2 month old baby boy , my husband works away from home for 2 weeks at a time and is only home 1 week a month. I have been taking care of the baby full time , even when the husband is home. I feel like i am about to go nuts. I live in an isolated area without transportation , so i cant go anywhere. The baby just keeps crying , he''s not hungry , he's not in the sun , he's got toys , he's warm he's clean..he's not gassy he just seems to cry and cry and cry unless he is being held all the time. I cant get any rest at all I feel like i am going nuts here. I just dont want to hold him all the time. He is very heavy (15 llb) and i just get sick of holding him for hours on end when i have a lot of other things to do (please dont answer this question if you are on over opinionated non-parent who thinks you know everything about parenting) I need suggestions from other parents in my situation.

Is it ok to take a baby/toddler out in public dressed in just their diaper? No diaper fetish freaks, this is a serious question. It has been such hot and humid weather that dd is battling to keep cool.
