pampers swaddlers are the very very best! they have stretchy sides so you can make them pretty snug, huggies have that too, I've tried them before and they work pretty equally. I just prefer the swaddlers because they're soft and don't irritate my son's skin at all. make sure you're buying the right size, too big or too small and it'll leak bad. I'd say at 8.8 lbs get a couple newborn packs and then move up to size 1. It also helps to fold down the front a little to catch the leaks that go out the top, which seems to be the biggest problem for boys. And don't buy Luvs! they have a big gap in the front, they would probably be fine for a little girl, but not a boy. plus the chemicals they put into them that make them "just as absorbent as the pricier brands but at a more affordable cost" gave my son horrible diaper rash. I've also heard that you should point the penis down to prevent leaks, but I never have and I don't think it makes much of a difference. Hope this helps!

My baby was born at 5 pounds 7 ounces, I found that because she was so small but peed A LOT, the only diapers that worked were Pampers Swaddlers size N.

Try Pampers Swaddlers. I would also point his pee-pee downwards, which helps the pee to be directed into the diaper - instead of right out of it and all over himself.

The best diaper I found was Huggies. Luvs were the absolute worst for my son. I tried pampers a couple of times, but they didn't work as well as the Huggies.

I used the pampers swaddlers until size three then moved on to pampers cruisers.

good luck
