I dont think all these people should ask you why you want to change your baby's last name. thats your business. I need to change my baby's last name simply bc her dad didnt have his id on him when the birth certificate lady came in so I had to put my last name on her. All you have to do is call the birth records people at the hospital and they can mail you an affidavit that you have to fill out and you mail it back with a money order (I think its like 30 bucks or so) and you have to mail in the original birth certificate with it too. They only thing is that it is a lengthy process but if you really want it done you can do it.

really you have to talk to a lawyer it usually costs alot to change one or all of a baby's name. think about it before you do change the name good luck.

Why do you want to change it? DId you re-marry, divorce, find out the guy whose name the baby has is not the father??

You have to go to court. If the father has never been in the child's life, it should not be difficult. If the father is in the life, it's going to be harder. How old is your child?

go to the courthouse, you should be able to change it there, if not they can tell you where to go.
