My girl was born 7lbs. 3z she was eating 8 oz every 2 hours at 6weeks so at 8weeks we were advised by pedi to put a little rice in bottle because clearly she wasnt full from the formula. She was eating atotal of 96oz in 24 hours which was way to much. She is now 3 months old and weighs about 15lbs. she eats a 6oz bottle 6 times within a 24 hour period which is 36 ounces plus at night she gets three teaspoons of rice in the bottle and for breakfast she eats about 2 to 3 teaspoonsful of rice on a spoon plus her bottle. she is in size 2 diapers cause her legs are so fat but she just doesnt seem full she always wants more. we dont see the doctor till her four month next month. she is moving into the 6-9 month clothes. she was 19lbs at birth 22lbs at 2 month uncertain now.Is she too fat?

Wait...you mean 7lbs. 3ounces at birth? Not 19lbs at birth...right? I wouldn't worry too much about the clothes sizes. my son is always above what the size is for his age. If the doc isn't concerned for any health reason then I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. There's nothing really you can do till she starts an regular food. then you can make sure she's eating a healthy well balanced diet. Also when she's crawling and walking you can do things with her to help her get some excercise. Listen, my son alway was a big baby too. His head was always so fat looking it was funny. Now he's fine. He's running around the house like crazy and hasn't gained an ounce in a while. He's still growing taller he just hasn't gained any weight.

I'm guessing that the 19 & 22 at the end of your question are inches, not pounds, because otherwise your question doesn't make sense.
It sounds to me like she's doing fine. My son was in the 90% for most of the first year; he was of his infant carrier by 5 months old. He's slowed down his growth rate quite a bit, and at 3 is now in just the 50%.

my daughter was born 9lbs 13oz and 21" at birth. She is now 3 months old and weighs 14 1/2 lbs and is almost 26" long. My daughter is also wearing 6-9 month old clothes and wearing size 2 diapers. I don't think your daughter is too heavy.

Sounds like my kids... my kids were always off the growth charts in height and weight... and they've all three grown into perfectly healthy young adults. Baby/toddler weight doesn't really affect or foretell child/adult weight.. So long as you're feeding her when she's hungry and teaching her healthy things to eat when she's hungry, she'll be fine. The more you stress over her weight or don't feed her when she's hungry, the more weight hang-ups she'll have... If you want her to feel good about her body, then you need to model that for her..

Sounds like shes doing fine, plus once she gets more active she will lose her baby fat anyways. My little one was eating rice cereal from a spoon at 2 1/2 months as the formula was not enough for her. We gave her about 1/2tsp in the morning and that really helped. We never put it in the bottle, can't believe the doctor suggested that, its not adviced to do that. Since shes use to the rice cereal, try giving her a 1/2 tsp at night before bed now, she shouldn't need it in her bottle. But give her the food she wants, shes obviously hungry, she just needs something to fill her up. I give mine rice cereal at morning and at night, and shes doing great.

That is not too heavy. Try some more cereal in her bottle at different times of the day. You could also add some applesauce or bananas.
You said she was born 7lbs 3 oz and the last sentence said she was 19 lbs at birth. Which is it?

Your baby is fine. They are supposed to double their weight at 3- 4 months of age so she is in the range. But you shouldn't put cereal in a bottle you should always feed from a spoon. Your baby is healthy be glad

i mat be wrong but it sounds to me like ur baby may have a form of reflux......one of the symptoms being they never feel full....even though shes not throwing her milk up she may have gas, which causes a pain in her tummy making her still feel hungry....try an anti-reflux formula(its thicker so you will need fast flowing teats even for a 3 mth old) and burp her regularly for about 1/2 an hour....i know this souns like a long time to burp a baby but after a couple of days of being on the anti-reflux formula you wont have to burp her for as long......i hope this helps GOODLUCK
