Is it ok to take a baby/toddler out in public dressed in just their diaper? No diaper fetish freaks, this is a serious question. It has been such hot and humid weather that dd is battling to keep cool.

I wouldn't.
1. sunburn
2. getting burned by their carseat
3. sicko freaks that get off on that stuff
4. sanitation
5. scraped skin from fall downs

The least amount I would let my kids out in would be a onesie.

I don't think it is ok to bring baby out in just a diaper for a few reasons. First- they need protection from the sun. Another is sanitary reasons. What if they have a leaky diaper? It is always best to have an extra "layer" to absorb any accidents. Anyway...if it is so hot and humid why are you bringing baby anywhere? I live in a warm climate and don't bring my baby out when the weather is too warm.

Was is appropriate for one isn't appropriate for another. No matter what you do people are going to say positive and negative things. If you feel that your baby is more comfortable and your are comfortable with being in just a diaper then what is the problem? My suggestion though, give cool baths and if you go out, a onsie keeps you covered and are cool. It also stops sun burn. I would also tell you to put a light layer of sun block on either way.

It's fine, usually people just throw a onesie on them and thats all with the diaper. Not somewhere nice, if you don't want people to think you are a redneck, but I don't see a problem with it. Babies have to be comfy right?

I wouldn't, just because you never know if a place will have Air Conditioning, if it will start to rain, etc. Besides, you don't want the baby to get a sunburn!

Try a lightweight cotton onesie, and bring along a few lightweight blankets just in case.

I think that if you are required to where clothes then a baby should wear at least a thin T-shirt. That is if you are going into a store or something.
