I have never tried Dr. Brown. I used Avent and loved them.

Avent!!!
Dr. Browns has a bunch of different parts, so they are really difficult to clean, and they are VERY likely to leak when you put them together. ALso, becuase they are so long and skinny it can be hard to hold them when they are full.
I did not find any increase in gas or burps when I switched to the Avent bottles. They are much simpler to clean and easier to hold. Plus, if you are nursing at all, the shape of the nipple is more natural. Also, because the neck is so wide, you do not spill when you are trying to put the formula inthe bottle and hols a crying baby at the same time.
Avent Naturally and Dr. Browns retail for about the same price - I think it is $12 for a three pack at target.

We tries many bottles and Dr. brown worked the best. She did not latch on to Avent and rejected other brands. Try buying a few different ones and your baby will pick the one she/he likes, that’s the best option. They are not that expensive it cost us about $20 (allot of bottles) to figure out that she likes Dr. Brown

they are both very good bottles i personally have used avent on my last two children and i like those over dr. brown. you could try them both and see which on the baby takes better. sometimes babies like certain nipples and you have to try diff. bottles. even the regular bottles. Avent is also better for the price. they sell them at walmart in packs or just single.

I LOVE the Avent bottles. They are a little on the expensive side though. I paid around $11 for three 4oz bottles. I breastfeed and when we had to give my daughter pumped milk she latched on very well to the bottles.

I love Playtex Nursers with the Drop-Ins... you can squeeze all the air out of them, so that your baby doesn't suck in any air... I never had a problem with a gasey baby. I also used Avent bottles... they were fine, but leaked occasionally for no apparent reason.
