She was brilliant, went beyond the call of duty and v thankful we have a healthy baby boy. I live in London and thought about theatre vouchers, any other ideas?

i gave my midwife some beautiful hand made scented candles - too big a gesture could be embarrassing for her.

How about a really nice photo album? They're always useful, anyway, plus I bet midwives get given pictures of the babies they've delivered all the time.

And, by the way, congratulations on the birth of your son!

I think theatre vouchers are a good idea. Very useful. I have bought them for people and they have loved them.

Good idea, but have you thought of a donation to a Children's Charity? or maybe a subscription to a Magazine, or a yearly membership to the local Zoo! Congratulations! (New Grandad)

well she wont have much time on her hands being a midwife and on call a lot, so something from the baby to her maybe something with your baby's name and her name on it, a small ornament?

a small keepsake of your baby in a nice frame. my sisters a midwife and she likes to keep momentoes of the babies she delivered.
