How about a really nice photo album? They're always useful, anyway, plus I bet midwives get given pictures of the babies they've delivered all the time.

I think theatre vouchers are a good idea. Very useful. I have bought them for people and they have loved them.

well she wont have much time on her hands being a midwife and on call a lot, so something from the baby to her maybe something with your baby's name and her name on it, a small ornament?

a small keepsake of your baby in a nice frame. my sisters a midwife and she likes to keep momentoes of the babies she delivered.
